Job Context:
∎ We are now looking to drive forward this work and need a point person in country, ideally based in Dhaka to help lead and manage our priorities. The purpose of this role is to take leadership of our work in Bangladesh and develop and drive forward a plan to establish BAT as a key player in the sector. This will include enabling the design and development of programmes and partnerships for impact, building networks, and scoping the sector to see where we can best add value, and investing in and managing key strategic and funding relationships that will help us grow.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka (Homeworking)
∎ Employment Status: Permanent (37.5 hours per week)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct research on country context, partners and opportunities- including following up on opportunities identified by other members of the team and pursuing partnerships that will help us create impact.
∎ Developing and designing strategic programmes and partnerships in the three key areas defined above and explore further opportunities for programmes
∎ Work closely with the fundraising team to build strategic partnerships with key trusts foundation, corporates, multilaterals and bilaterals that could support our work
∎ Ensuring proper management for all current partners and projects to the highest standards and in collaboration with the UK team
∎ Building the profile of British Asian Trust and build relationships with and manage critical stakeholders

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience and understanding of the development/NGO sector desirable
∎ Substantial experience of designing and working on dynamic and complex programmes, and in collaboration with varied partners
∎ Significant programme and partner management experience, working with a diverse range of organisations and projects
∎ Good understanding of the development landscape in Bangladesh and the public, private and civil society institutions that operate there
∎ Some experience of fundraising, and business development, developing new partnerships with corporates, bilaterals and other donors
∎ Experience of stakeholder or client management- existing relationships with businesses, NGOs and government institutions
∎ Ability to analyse, problem solve, and make recommendations based on clear and concise information and presentation
∎ Entrepreneurial, self-starter, able to work well independently, as well as collaboratively and with a team

Salary:
∎ Approximately BDT 80,000 depending on experience

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Annual Leave of 25 days in addition to public holidays
