Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate in Veterinary Science/ Fisheries/Aquaculture/ Agriculture.
∎ MBA in Marketing or Master in Agricultural Economics & Rural Sociology/ or Masters Agri Business also would be an added advantage

Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 7 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Guide partner organization for implementing the programme delivery/milestones in time and ensure quality programme implementation through regular monitoring and technical backstopping;
∎ Work closely with local, regional buyers to facilitate the sale of farmer's produces;
∎ Forecasting of demand and supply by collecting data from producer groups and make bridging between buyers and producer groups;
∎ Identification of challenges which restrict the market and sector growth in the assigned location and share with management;
∎ Establishment of collection center and agro input shop for creating market access of quality product (input and product selling) and strengthen capacity to develop as successful business entity.
∎ Development of micro enterprises for supporting the SaFaL business center and also employment generation of PG's members.
∎ Facilitate to organize vaccination, deworming and AI services and promote fodder production for improving fertility and reduce farm production cost
∎ Assist to commodity managers in developing training modules, documents and factsheet etc;
∎ Promote technologies in the producer groups for supplementing quality production through demonstration and piloting etc;
∎ Follow up the technical session, demonstration, piloting and draw backstopping support for proper implementation.
∎ Facilitate capacity building training for programme staff, lead farmer, community livestock worker, on dairy supply chain development, efficient farm management, enterprise farming, business plan, business operation etc.;
∎ Organize capacity building training, workshop, session for internal staff, programme partners and external stakeholders;
∎ Enhance integration of all sectors and coordinate with other sector's in planning, resource allocation, monitoring, representation;
∎ Explore business opportunities and provide market specific business plan for the producer groups, entrepreneurs and SaFaL supported market structure.
∎ Take initiatives to explore the new entrepreneurs for renting the services like input shop, pack house, storage, ice selling and guide the management to take right decision.
∎ Take initiatives with VSM arotdar for mapping the buyer, new market, new products based on seasonality and market demand.
∎ Take initiatives with team members and Arotdars for farmer mobilization to bring products to VSM and will design campaign activities for farmers.
∎ Take initiatives for developing entrepreneur in VSM to link them with different market segment
∎ Ensure frequent visits of PGs, local, regional and national level market to explore, link develop the buyer base.
∎ Work closely with M&E team for collecting info & its analysis and sharing with relevant parties.
∎ Take part in process documentation, collection and compilation of required information and development of case studies and project reports.
∎ Work in close collaboration with other team members and contribute to develop an efficient working team.
∎ Create provision for access to finance for enterprise, entrepreneurs and relevant business structures
∎ Any task assigned by management;

Additional Requirements:
∎ 5- 7 years' professional experience in the relevant field of Agriculture/Aquaculture/ livestock's product marketing, value chain and supply chain development;
∎ Required Experience can be flexible in case of candidate with specialized educational qualification in the relevant field
∎ Having experience of rural market system for agro based product;
∎ Experience in agricultural market and agribusiness development, access to finance and/or competitiveness support activities for donor-funded economic development projects;
∎ Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing interventions that improve access to information and technologies for agriculture value chain actors;
∎ Demonstrated experience in facilitation and capacity development;
∎ Basic computer literacy using of Microsoft Office- Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Power Point, SPSS & other database programme;
∎ Skills in documentation and reporting.
∎ Ability to work in a team;
∎ Proven understanding on financial and operational aspects in agri-business;
∎ Proven ability to work in an intercultural environment;
∎ Analytical writing skills in English and Bengali; excellent communication skills and fluent spoken English are required;
∎ Self-driven and high work ethics
