Job Context:
∎ The Program Support Assistant is responsible for assisting the Chief of Party (COP) and the Senior Technical Advisor to implement and report on AUHC technical initiatives. S/he will, as directed by the COP, provide discrete support to the five AUHC results leaders to see that project deliverables are met, are delivered on time and with high quality, and are reported on in an accurate manner. In addition to liaising with the results leaders, the Program Support Assistant will collaborate with the AUHC grants, MERL, and operations teams. The Program Support Assistant will also place special emphasis on AUHC project communications. This will include developing project success stories and other external communication pieces that highlight AUHC successes.
∎ The location of this assignment is Dhaka, Bangladesh, with travel to the SHN clinics estimated to require 60% of the incumbent`s level of effort.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Taking the lead in all project communications including but not limited to generating success stories, monitoring social media outlets, assisting the COP to respond to ad hoc requests from USAID, and managing the AUHC Facebook page;
∎ Developing draft presentations, program briefs, and working papers on AUHC project activities and results;
∎ Working with the Senior Technical Advisor and other results leaders to analyze and write up project data and results looking for trends and areas of potential intervention;
∎ On an as needed basis, providing support to the five AUHC results leaders to complete project deliverables and tasks, organize events, and assist with other high-level project activities and deliverables; and
∎ Other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ The candidate must possess a demonstrated track record of producing written products in professional, fluent English that are suitable for an external audience. These items need to be developed in a way that they require very little supervisory review, editing, or revision.
∎ Ability to analyze and write up project data with an emphasis on clinic service statistics and service delivery trends.
∎ A demonstrated ability and track record of interacting with higher-level project staff.
∎ Ability to complete work assignments with little or minimal day to day guidance.
∎ Familiarity with the health service delivery system in Bangladesh is preferred.
∎ Ability to travel to all districts in Bangladesh approximately 60% of the time.
