Experience:

Fluency in English & Bengali.
Work experience in the Rohingya camp context in Bhasanchar is preferred.

Reported to: Teaching Learning Officer (TLO)
Position Overview: The Program Officer for the “Support to FDMN in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasanchar in Education Sector” Project will play a crucial role in field level implementation of the project initiatives. This role involves supervision and mentoring of Master Trainers, Teachers & Cleaners concerned and working closely with project stakeholders, beneficiaries, and team members to ensure effective project execution and positive impact on the targeted community for providing quality education to FDMNs.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure all the aspects to open the classrooms in the new clusters.
Distribute teaching materials, maintaining stock position and supervise proper usage in class room.
Conduct daily supervisory visits of schools to evaluate adherence to minimum standards for learning especially in Myanmar Curriculum.
Conduct basic needs assessments and beneficiary consultations for PARC, Education Sector in Bhasan Char, including survey households and site assessments for new classrooms.
Conduct teacher’s orientation and monthly refreshers training for building capacity of Teachers of Myanmar Curriculum grades.
Conducting surveys in camp/clusters.
Getting accurate information from beneficiaries
Assist teachers in Learners Assessment and Quality Control.
Coordinate with local relevant sector partners’ representative, community leaders, and beneficiaries to ensure smooth project execution at component level.
Prepare Regular progress reports for Teaching Learning Officer highlighting achievements and challenges.
Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with project beneficiaries and community members, promoting their active participation and ownership in project activities.
Maintaining inventory and stock of basic supplies for the schools and learning centres.
Ensure the safety of Program Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the program`s goals of safeguarding and PSEA implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
