Job Context:
∎ Reportable to : Director, Disaster Response.
∎ Duration of contract : Initially upto 30 June 2022 (with possibility of extension).
∎ Duty station : National Head Quarters (NHQ), Moghbazar, Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide operational and technical support in the implementation of cash-based activities in the affected areas.
∎ Facilitate programme planning, design of appropriate approaches, targeting of sectors and people to be assisted with livelihoods and cash distribution in coordination and close collaboration with BDRCS.
∎ Coordinate, communicate and collaborate closely with, PNSs, relevant organizations/service providers to ensure coordinated response.
∎ Support BDRCS Project Team develop a cash distribution plan for targeted families.
∎ Ensure regular, timely and accurate monthly and quarterly narrative reports, including support to BDRCS in report writing.
∎ Undertake risk analysis related to the cash intervention and develop appropriate mitigation measures
∎ Support BDRCS in selecting the appropriate financial service provider (FSP), liaise with the possibly existing cash working group (CWG) and/or help calculate an appropriate transfer value.
∎ Ensure thematic issues such as gender and disability inclusion are mainstreamed in livelihood activities.
∎ Develop appropriate monitoring tools, conduct field visits and ensure monitoring and evaluation process are in place to measure impact and results
∎ Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the activities to determine the areas for improvement and capture best practices.
∎ Ensure compliance with relevant and applicable quality and accountability standards.
∎ Support and advice BDRCS in mainstreaming protection, gender and inclusion principles in programme design and implementation
∎ Ensure that all DRC and donor reporting requirements including financial updates are met.
∎ Lead/support the preparation of Quarterly Project Reports and annual Project Progress Report (PPR) for the Cash-based programme for submission to HQ.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ At least 2 years' experience in disaster management with CVA component and IM.
∎ Skills & Abilities:
∎ Advanced skills in computers (Windows, spreadsheets, word-processing, Kobo collect, Power BI and accounting packages) and familiar with internet browsing.
∎ RCRC Movement CTP online or Face to Face trainings on Cash and Voucher Assistance (Level-2).
∎ Ability to use manual accounting systems.
∎ Ability to prepare budgets, cash flow statements & financial plans.
∎ Analytical skills and ability to think strategically.
∎ Able to plan and work independently with minimum or no supervision.
∎ Able to influence, communicate, co-operate and negotiate with a wide range of people and organisations.
∎ Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
∎ Ability to manage multiple and complex tasks.
∎ Proven professionalism and ability to work independently.
∎ Fluent in English.
∎ Personal Qualities:
∎ An understanding of the RC/RC movement is required.
∎ Honest and high level of integrity.
∎ Willing to work for vulnerable and people in need.
Salary:
∎ Upto BDT. 50,000/- (with other benefits as per organization`s policy).
