Experience:
Bachelor in any discipline.
3 years working experiences on migration issues and psychosocial support to the migrants.
Ability to convey information in an insightful and structured manner both in written and oral presentations.
Excellent communication skills and reporting in English and Bengali.
Experience in networking, advocacy, and community mobilization.
Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines and achieving results.
Consultative and collaborative approach to handle multiple tasks in fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge on Microsoft Office specially Office, Excel, Power Point, etc.
Ability to interact professionally with staffs, diverse stakeholders and project beneficiaries.
Association for Community Development (ACD) is looking for a suitable applicant for its project ‘Fostering Resilience and Community Engagement for Internal Migrant Workers and families’. The overall outputs expected from the project includes (i) Men and women migrants are confident and equipped with leadership and economically empowered, and (ii) Government and local governments equitably provide information and services to migrants.
Responsibilities:
Form and strengthen women group involving internal women migrants who face multiple barriers and gender-based discrimination in home, community, and workplaces.
Strengthen women’s knowledge on gender, human rights, decision making process, problem solving, women’s health, leadership, social accountability, social safety net program, access to information, internet literacy, identify location problems and solutions mechanism.
Need assessment on social protection services of internal migrants.
Support migrant resource center for migrants and their children.
Dialogue and alliance building with government departments, local elected bodies, city corporation and relevant service providers.
CSOs mapping and capacity need assessments for building their skills on social security rights of internal migrants.
Build and strengthen e-connectivity for CBO networking and collaboration and share resources.
Social media campaign to raise awareness towards inclusive governance including social security program of internal migrants.
Ensure the quality and impact of the program and ensuring that gender equity is addressed.
Represent the program at meetings, workshops and training with stakeholders for effective dialogue and advocacy at district, Upazila and Union level.
Ensure project activities are implemented according to established project principles with adequate community participation.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual report and case studies as per deadlines.
Arrange district, upazila and union level advocacy and mass awareness campaigns/events.
Organize life skills training for survivors and parents meetings on positive parenting for developing positive norms around SEC.
Travel and communication allowance may be provided as per organizational policy.
