Job Context:
∎ Founded in 1986, People`s Oriented Program Implementation (POPI) is a growing Non-Government Organization (NGO) working across the country. POPI has been at the forefront of country`s social and economic endeavor since inception. It envisions a prudent nation free from hunger and poverty where every citizen leads a life with dignity and equity. POPI pursues a mission to work for and with people irrespective of religion, caste, ethnicity, creed, belief, age and gender who are in any form marginalization and exclusion. POPI`s programmes revolves around six major areas including education, livelihood development, health, rights and governance, DRR & CCA and Financial Services. At present POPI is working in 23 districts across Bangladesh with an effective network of regional, zonal, branch and field offices.
∎ POPI invites application from the experienced professionals with proven track record for the following position for its Strengthening Household Ability to Respond to Development Opportunities (SHOUHARDO-III) Program supported by CARE. Working areas of the program are 4 Upazillas of Kishoregonj District (Nikli, Itna, Mithamoin and Austogram) and 3 Upizalas of Netrokona District (Madan, Kalmakanda and Khaliajury).
∎ Contract duration: Up to January 2023, and will be extended for next two years.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead Agriculture & Livelihoods and Nutrition components at Upazila level
∎ Provide technical support to the project team; capacity building of Field Facilitator in the area of Agriculture, Financial Inclusion and Nutrition
∎ Responsible to mobilize Local Service Providers (LSPs) in the area of Agriculture, Financial Inclusion, Nutrition.
∎ Support program teams including FFs to integrate Agriculture, Financial Inclusion, Nutrition, Gender towards achieving program goal.
∎ Maintain coordination and collaboration with Upazila level Govt. departments (DAE, DLS, DoL, UpZ Health & Family Planning Office) including private sector's partners
∎ Provide day-to day operational support to Field Facilitators including performance management, capacity building etc.
∎ Responsible for timely implementation of DIP activity
∎ Prepare QPR, AR, Success story or any other report program need.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by PM
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years' working experience in any National/International NGO; and at least 05 years' experience in similar position, particularly in Agriculture & Livelihood and Nutrition project
∎ Clear understanding on Livelihoods and Nutrition project dynamics integrating women empowerment, youth, private sector, market engagement and financial inclusion.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali.
∎ Computer skill on MS word, excel, power point, virtual communication (zoom, teams etc.) and others.
Salary: Tk. 62213 (Monthly)
