Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Development Studies (MDS), Master of Social Science (MSS) in Sociology, Social Work, Social Welfare, Anthropology, Master of Science (MSc) in Disaster Management, Environmental Science
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 9 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Programme Development and Implementation-30%
∎ To be responsible for the planning, organization, Implementation of Humanitarian & Resilience Program in Bangladesh.
∎ To provide leadership to H&RP team for the development of the quality program in the area of CCA/Resilience/WASH/ Humanitarian Response.
∎ Lead the team to identify various funding opportunities & develop quality proposals targeting institutional and non-institutional funding.
∎ Responsible for Managing Program budgets- & ensuring sound financial monitoring/Compliance and accountability of the project.
∎ Program/project development for long-time interventions and seek/or identify sources of funding for new programs.
∎ Ensure effective technical support of the program through undertaking regular monitoring, handholding & close supervision of the program team.
∎ Ensure humanitarian Principles, code of conduct & standard are in aspects program implantation.
∎ Program Monitoring, evaluation, and learning-30%
∎ Conduct internal impact evaluations of the projects and draw adequate recommendations in coordination with Head of Programmes
∎ Design and conduct Good Practices and Lessons Learned workshops involving wider stakeholders
∎ Building on existing learning and good practice to develop and implement a sound monitoring and evaluation system of the project jointly with the internal PQ&C team
∎ Lead the Project team to develop and use innovative approaches to monitor the performance of the CCA/Resilience/WASH/ER projects/programs in the country.
∎ Strategic Planning-15%
∎ To develop long term program strategy for IRB which resonates current humanitarian discourse & addresses challenges in line IRW global strategy.
∎ Lead project teams in the development of CCA/Resilience/WASH/ER in Bangladesh including annual and other regular Reviews and Business Plan
∎ Networking and External Communications-15%
∎ To represent IRB in various national & international forums and Promote the IRB program portfolio through active engagement in the various discussion pertaining to policy & practices.
∎ To build, nurture & strengthen strategic partnership with the various national & international humanitarian organization including donor, government department & other stakeholder’s.
∎ Establishing and maintaining contact with a wide range of organizations/ stakeholders for value addition to program/ project implementation.
∎ Participate in and support national and regional campaign & advocacy working groups as and when required.
∎ Capacity Building-10%
∎ Identify the needs and support the development of staff and partners to increase their competence in HP & Resilience programming.
∎ Support and facilitate knowledge sharing within and across departments through promoting a culture of learning, reflection, and sharing of best practices as well as failures
∎ Develop learning and capacity building plans for both IRB and partner staff, based on identified professional and programmatic needs. Link capacity building initiatives to wider opportunities and networks on national, regional and global levels.
∎ Work closely with the Coordinator-Human Resources & OD on identifying H&RP staffing needs (both national and international) and ensure sufficient recruitment, induction, and training of new staff.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in working with Climate Change & Disaster Resilience, WASH & Emergency Response.
∎ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint/Adobe Photoshop etc.
