• At least 8 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Buying House

• At least 8 years’ work experience as a Designer cum Product Developer in Woven category, especially with a factory or buying office

• in-depth knowledge of fabric construction, content, wash and quality for respective product areas in the Woven category, print types, embroidery types, stitch methods

• In-depth knowledge and work experience on Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator

• Must have extensive experience of product development, accessories, wash, costing and execution of techpacks independently

• Must have an elevated eye for product aesthetics

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships work as a team

• Should be well-groomed, smart, and energetic

• Strong presentation and delivery skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection

• Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English

• Proficient with Office package (Especially, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)

• Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently

Job Context

• The Product Developer will be accountable for initiating, managing and driving the execution of the Design vision in the development of all products for the Woven categories assigned from raw material inception to pre-production sample (PP) approval. The incumbent will work closely with internal cross-functional partners in Design, Technical Design, and Merchandising on a day-to-day basis and throughout the process to maintain a strong and aligned vision on the product direction from beginning to end.

• Job Responsibilities

• Execute product designs with a strong creative vision and design sensibility.

• Develop collections across categories including denim, twill, and garments requiring specialized washing processes.

• Drive new fabric developments in line with evolving market trends.

• Analyze market trends and historical sales data to create commercially viable products.

• Create concepts, mood boards, and presentations based on in-depth trend research.

• Experiment with fabrics to develop innovative washes, silhouettes, and finishes.

• Ideate and develop wash concepts and mock-ups.

• Select appropriate fabrics, trims, finishes, and wash techniques to achieve desired product outcomes.

• Prepare detailed design tech packs and create design artworks using CAD tools.

• Translate design concepts into prototypes, ensuring accuracy from sketch to final garment.

• Understand garment fit and collaborate with the technical team to review and address fit comments.

• Maintain and update the design and fabric library.

• Oversee end-to-end development follow-up, from sampling to SMS (Salesman Samples).

• Coordinate with factories and laundries for new developments and sampling execution.

• Continuously source new fabrics, technologies, washing techniques, and trims for product innovation.

• Conduct detailed analysis of fabrics, trims, stitching parameters, threads, and wash processes.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation including fabric data sheets, wash recipes, and trim sheets.

• Develop prints, embroideries, and wash techniques in collaboration with suppliers.
