  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in hostel or guest house management;

  • Experience in the NGO/development sector will be considered an added advantage;

  • Ability to ride a motorcycle with a valid driving license;

  • Must be willing to stay at the Guest House when required;

  • Computer literacy is essential;

  • Willingness to work beyond regular office hours when necessary.

Christian Service Society (CSS), a renowned national non-governmental organization, has been serving underprivileged and marginalized communities since 1972. CSS has been working towards creating sustainable change in Bangladesh by implementing various projects and programs focusing on education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, disaster relief and rehabilitation, microfinance, enterprise development, etc.

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Procurement and Facilities Officer who will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and security of the Guest House, as well as efficiently coordinating and implementing procurement activities related to the Head Office, Printing Press, and Pre-Service Orientation (PSO) activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall maintenance and day-to-day operations of the Guest House;

  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and a healthy environment within the premises;

  • Ensure effective security arrangements and safety measures are maintained;

  • Provide necessary logistical and administrative support for guests and visitors;

  • Stay at the Guest House during PSO training sessions and supervise overall operations;

  • Ensure accommodation, logistics, and other training-related support services;

  • Promptly and effectively address and resolve emergency issues during training programs;

  • Coordinate procurement of goods and services for the Head Office, Printing Press, and PSC activities;

  • Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies and applicable rules and regulations;

  • Conduct market surveys, collect quotations, and perform comparative analyses;

  • Manage vendor selection and maintain effective supplier relationships;

  • Ensure timely procurement while maintaining required quality standards;

  • Provide logistical support according to the needs of different departments;

  • Ensure timely delivery and proper storage of procured goods;

  • Support stock and inventory management activities;

  • Maintain proper records of all procurement and Guest House-related activities;

  • Prepare regular reports and submit them to the appropriate authority;

  • Ensure proper preservation of bills, vouchers, and other relevant documents;

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
