Job Context:
∎ Applications are invited from the candidates of Chattogram and Cox`s Bazar districts.
∎ The Prevention Officer`s primary function is to execute quality implementation of the prevention and protection of Gender-based Violence (GBV) in Rohingya camps and surrounding host community in Cox`s Bazar. The Prevention Officer will be responsible for conducting training of adolescent girls, boys, women and men in the camp and host communities.
∎ Vacancy: 02 (01 men, 01 women)
∎ Employment Status:
∎ Full-time; 6 month contract, renewable based upon satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
∎ This is a 06 month project starting from November 1, 2021 with a possibility of extension for a long time.

∎ Under the supervision of Project Coordinator at the same time to M&E Officer the Prevention Officer is responsible for:
∎
∎ Conduct survey to identify adolescent girls, boys, women and men for training on GBV, SRHR, and gender equality.
∎ Conduct training following Girl Shine curriculum.
∎ Assess the training outcomes.
∎ Link the GBV victims with appropriate institutions for counseling and treatment.
∎ Reporting as per prescribed forms.
∎ Should have bilateral relationships with other agencies to get support.
∎ Maintain effective contact with all the stakeholders in the community e.g. community leaders, imams and Majhis in camps and host communities.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 27 to 35 years
∎ 3 to 4 year(s) on women empowerment, GBV, MHM, SRHR and protection in Rohingya humanitarian crisis.
∎ Basic knowledge on protection mechanism, peace building and conflict transformation & management.
∎ Basic knowledge on computer operation, Excel, Spreadsheet in computer and use of web-based real time data entry software.
∎ Understanding on local language, communication language on local accent (vocabulary) with Rohingya community.
∎ Willingness to travel hard to reach areas and extra-hours of work.

Salary: Tk. 37000 - 38000 (Monthly)
