Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting (freshers with training may apply).
Knowledge of specimen handling, infection control, and laboratory safety.
Strong communication and patient-care skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts.
Responsibilities & Context:
Responsibilities:
Collect blood and other biological samples through venipuncture, capillary, and other approved techniques.
Verify patient identity and explain procedures to ensure comfort and consent.
Accurately label and document specimens; maintain chain of custody for samples.
Ensure proper storage and transportation of specimens to maintain integrity.
Follow strict infection-control and safety protocols (including proper disposal of sharps and biohazard waste).
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide post-collection instructions.
Maintain equipment and ensure adequate inventory of phlebotomy supplies.
Collaborate with laboratory and clinical teams for timely reporting.
