Experience:

The Officer, Inventory Control is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and reconciling inventory across warehouses and stores. The role focuses on maintaining accurate ERP inventory records, resolving stock discrepancies, monitoring Goods in Transit (GIT), conducting physical stock checks, and ensuring inventory control procedures and reporting requirements are properly followed.
Processes daily inventory data in the ERP system and collaborates with warehouse teams to identify, investigate, and resolve stock discrepancies promptly.
Monitors stock levels and movements, including overstock, shortages, slow-moving, and fast-moving items, and verifies receipts, transfers, adjustments, and returns.
Conducts regular physical stock counts, expiry checks, and stock condition inspections through frequent visits to warehouses and stores. Maintains proper documentation relating to inventory adjustments, stock counts, investigations, and reconciliations.
Circulates daily GIT reports to Operations and Warehouse teams and follows up on outstanding transactions to ensure timely resolution.
Performs scheduled cycle counts to reconcile physical stock with system balances and ensure compliance with inventory control policies.
Inspects storage areas for safety, proper organization, and process compliance, and coordinates with Store Operations and Warehouse teams to address inventory discrepancies and process gaps.
Supports the accurate closure of GIT transactions and assists with month-end inventory and accounting closing processes.
Investigates inventory discrepancies to identify root causes, assess financial impacts, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Generates daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management, ensuring reports are complete, accurate, reliable, and submitted within the required timelines.
Liaises with Finance, Logistics, IT, Warehouse, Operations, and internal or external audit teams to strengthen inventory control procedures, ensure compliance, and support process improvement initiatives.
