Responsibilities & Context:

I & I Services Ltd.:

I & I Services Ltd. operates as a pharmaceutical distribution unit with multiple depots located across different regions. The company is responsible for delivering medicines to various customers or healthcare facilities and collecting the corresponding payments upon delivery. Their operations involve managing inventory at each depot, ensuring timely and accurate distribution, and maintaining efficient cash collection processes to support smooth business operations.

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and responsible Officer, Transport to support the efficient management of a large pharmaceutical distribution fleet.

The incumbent will be responsible for vehicle scheduling, route and delivery planning, fleet movement monitoring, driver and vehicle rotation, transportation cost control, and coordination with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment and delivery. The role will also ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, fuel efficiency standards, and vehicle maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute daily vehicle schedules based on tour plans, product requirements, delivery priorities, and vehicle cargo capacity.

• Monitor the movement and operational status of assigned vehicles throughout transit and take necessary action to ensure smooth and timely delivery.

• Plan and implement effective driver and vehicle rotation to ensure optimum resource utilization and balanced workload distribution.

• Design and recommend efficient delivery routes in coordination with operational requirements to support timely and cost-effective transportation.

• Address on-road operational issues, including vehicle breakdowns, delays, accidents, route disruptions, and other transportation-related challenges, and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.

• Monitor transportation expenses and support the review of freight-related bills, invoices, and claims to ensure accuracy and cost control.

• Coordinate closely with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure proper vehicle availability, order staging, loading, and timely dispatch.

• Monitor fuel consumption and ensure compliance with established fuel efficiency standards.

• Track and follow up on scheduled preventive maintenance and required repair works to maintain vehicle availability and operational reliability.

• Ensure transportation activities comply with applicable local laws, government regulations, road safety requirements, and organizational policies.

• Maintain relevant transportation records, reports, and operational documentation.

• Identify transportation-related operational gaps and recommend practical solutions for improving fleet utilization, delivery performance, and cost efficiency.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the management in line with the requirements of the role.
