Experience:

• 2 to 4 years

• Diploma in Medical Technology in Phlebotomist

• 2 to 4 years

• Age 27 to 37 years

• Good knowledge of blood collection and sample handling procedures.        

• Knowledge of infection control and biomedical waste management.

• Must have good computer operating skills.

• Must be proficient in MS Word and hospital/diagnostic software.

• Ability to type and prepare Ultrasound (USG) reports accurately according to the authorized doctor's findings/instructions.

• Ability to enter patient information, sample details and maintain records accurately.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Honest, punctual, responsible and patient-friendly.

• Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy.

1. Perform blood collection and other diagnostic sample collection from patients following standard procedures.

2. Properly identify and label patient samples before sending them to the laboratory.

3. Ensure proper handling, storage and timely transportation of collected samples.

4. Maintain strict hygiene, infection prevention and safety protocols during sample collection.

5. Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety during the procedure.

6. Communicate politely and professionally with patients and their attendants.

7. Maintain daily sample collection records and necessary documentation.

8. Handle and dispose of used needles, syringes and biomedical waste according to hospital policy.

9. Coordinate with laboratory staff regarding sample processing and reporting.

10. Perform home sample collection/outdoor sample collection when required.

11. Operate computer and hospital/diagnostic software for patient registration, data entry and record keeping.

12. Prepare, type and print Ultrasound (USG) reports as per the instructions/findings provided by the authorized Radiologist/Sonologist.

13. Maintain proper records of Ultrasound reports and patient information.

14. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor/management.
