Educational Requirements:
∎ Postgraduate degree in any relevant field (Gender Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, Development Studies)

∎ At least 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct desk reviews and meetings with key informants as part of the identification of needs, trends and practices and piloting of new GYSI-related activities with different groups.
∎ Conduct small group discussion sessions with select groups including youth association representatives, to identify needs, trends and practices to develop new activities.
∎ Support the development of Session content and other learning materials for Adolescent groups, ethnic youth associations and men focusing on GYSI, leadership and nutrition.
∎ Support development of activities to be included in the detailed action plans (DAP) for youth engagement and collaboration based on the overall BANI work plans.
∎ Lead implementation of activities for youth engagement and collaboration with the Ethnic Student Associations and Bandarban University and other entities, as appropriate.
∎ Monitor and track activities related to youth engagement and GYSI, including budgeting, planning, and implementation of each product.
∎ Identify, select, and collaborate with various GoB departments, USAID projects, institutions, and other key stakeholders around GYSI.
∎ Coordinate with different local educational institutions to explore and provide collaboration opportunities, e.g., research and/or internships, for ethnic students to enable them to obtain real-world work and/or research experience before graduation.
∎ Contribute to learning dissemination and related events.
∎ Maintain documentation, including keeping GYSI materials up to date and archiving.
∎ Collaborate with GoB and other relevant actors to support awareness-raising around GYSI.
∎ Conduct training and capacity building initiatives, for both internal and external partners.
∎ Produce different GYSI and advocacy materials, e.g., images, audios, videos, briefing notes, translations, publications, and printing materials that represent BANI's GYSI activities and align with HKI's global standard communication toolkit.
∎ Contribute to intervention-specific coordination meetings to engage in effective work planning, review progress against milestones, and monitor progress toward outcomes.
∎ Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Additional Requirements:
∎ Expertise in gender equality, youth and social inclusion is required.
∎ Expertise in gender mainstreaming is required.
∎ Expertise in Adult Learning Methodologies and Advanced Facilitation Knowledge is required.
∎ Working knowledge of and experience with USG-funded program management, policies, regulations, and procedures is preferred.
∎ Previous Work experience in CHT is preferred.
∎ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
∎ Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
∎ Excellent organizational skills, including strong attention to detail.
∎ Knowledge and experience liaising with the GoB, private sector counterparts, and development partners; ability to coordinate with appropriate stakeholders.
∎ Demonstrated leadership qualities, administrative capabilities, and team building skills
∎ Creativity and initiative in identifying public affairs opportunities and needs.
∎ Advance knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla, both written and oral
∎ Familiarity with CHT socio-political history and multi-cultural environment (preferred)
