Educational Requirements:
∎ A university degree, preferably a graduate degree in relevant subject areas social sciences, development studies, statistics or a related disciple. Experience in the sector will also be considered favorably.

Job Context:
∎ Project: Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM), funded by UNHCR
∎ Department: Humanitarian Response
∎ Location of posting: Teknaf, Cox`s Bazar
∎ Types of contract: Fixed term contract
∎ Duration of Contract: Up to 31 December 2020
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Facilitate Community Risk Assessment and support the development of Participatory Risk Reduction Action Plan (PRRAP);
∎ Conduct simulations/drills on DRR and hazards;
∎ Mobilize Disaster Management Unit Volunteers (capacity building; simulation exercises; early warning, emergency damage assessment reporting) for mitigating disaster risks and building resilience;
∎ Plan and ensure green coverage of the camps to reduce environmental risks;
∎ Assist Disaster Management Committee (DMC) in analyzing emergency damage assessments and response;
∎ Organize periodic meetings with Disaster Management Unit Volunteers and DMC members on the reduction of man-made and natural hazards.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years or more of sound experience in development sector.
∎ Experience in CCCM and Rohingya Response.
∎ Clear understanding on protection issues, CCCM, human rights, DRR and resilience
∎ Experience working in emergency responses targeting vulnerable people
∎ Understanding of Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA) and Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS).
∎ Orientation to gender sensitivity.
∎ Ability to work under extreme pressure and meeting deadlines.
∎ Team player with strong experience in multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environments.
