Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the supervision of the Team Leader, the Office Manager assigned to the Dhaka office will be responsible for managing, coordinating and overall supervision of administrative and logistical duties for the PIFIC project in Dhaka. Activities to be carried out by the Office Manager are as follows, but not limited to:
∎ Carry out the general management of the project office, including staff management, procurement, budget reporting and other documentation;
∎ Under the supervision of the Team Leader, perform and supervise all required logistical tasks, including procurement of project equipment and supplies, deployment of project staff, equipment and supplies as required;
∎ Perform project accounting, budget monitoring, payment requisitions, and general financial management.
∎ Supervise administration of international staff and local support personnel, time sheets, travel authorizations, etc.
∎ Provide assistance to IMC project missions as required.
∎ Provide necessary support to visiting international and national staff including visa, work permit, security clearance arrangements, transportation, accommodation, field visits and meetings;
∎ Prepare appointments and liaise as necessary with parties concerned, such as government of Bangladesh, Export Competitiveness 4 Jobs, World Bank, UN, NGOs and other development and urban related organizations to ensure coordination of office management activities.
∎ Arrange project meetings, workshops and seminars at the request of the Team Leader
∎ Attend project meetings as necessary.
∎ Prepare and give presentations on the progress of project components as requested by the Team Leader.
∎ Facilitate training/capacity building and monitoring and evaluation activities;
∎ Assist in the development and establishment of standard office procedures.
∎ Prepare or assist in preparing letters, memos, reports, authorizations, visa requests etc, particularly in relation to standard IMC procedures.
∎ Assist in establishing and maintaining up to date the project filing system.
∎ Perform translation as required.
∎ As required, carry out on the job training with respect to office administration.

Additional Requirements:
∎ The candidate should have experience of at least 10 years where 4-5 years in development projects of Bangladesh Government as well as experience in strategic project planning, finance and budgeting, office administration and team management. Experience in WB funded project would be an advantage.
∎ The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in Bangla and English and be proficient in computer operation and office productivity software.
