Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters degree in any discipline
∎ Master’s degree in relevant subject or equivalent professional / technical qualification
∎ SBCC training Master’s Degree in food or nutrition sciences.
∎ Training in CMAM, IYCF, or C-MAMI
∎ Relevant professional experience working with nutrition services or community outreach (2 years)
∎ Previous working experience with a humanitarian organisation
∎ Experience in nutrition outreach activities
∎ Written and spoken Bangla and English Advanced written and spoken English

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Uphold Medair values and contribute to the wellbeing of the team as an active member.

∎ Overview:
∎ The Outreach Supervisor coordinates all nutrition community outreach activities in a designated coverage area, including strategic planning, liaising with community leaders and authorities, and overseeing community support groups.
∎ Technical:
∎ - Lead initial and ongoing mapping of the assigned nutrition site catchment area
∎ - Regularly meet with, inform, and sensitize the local authorities, community leaders and members to ensure good understanding of the nutrition program. Anticipate possible community concerns and work proactively to address them
∎ - Lead supportive supervision of the community outreach activities using supervision checklists, provide feedback to the relevant staff and develop solutions to address identified gaps
∎ - Coordinate with the CNV Supervisors to ensure quality supervision and training of Community Nutrition Volunteers (CNVs)
∎ - Conduct meetings with the Community Nutrition Volunteers as needed
∎ - Strategize and implement methods to ensure complete coverage of eligible beneficiaries within the assigned nutrition site catchment area
∎ - Collect, compile and submit timely and accurate reports as required
∎ - Act as a focal point for community leaders and members. Collect feedback and complaints and report back to the Nutrition Coordinator
∎ - Support surveys and assessments in the assigned nutrition site catchment area
∎ - Establish, train, and support Mother to Mother Support Groups (MtMSGs) and adolescent girl support groups
∎ - Support the distribution of IFA to adolescent girls in the community, following CMAM and WC/Medair protocols
∎ Quality Management:
∎ - Ensure high quality standards for measurement and other technical tasks carried out by Community Nutrition Volunteers, through assessment, training, and support.
∎ Staff Supervision and Development:
∎ - Assist in the recruitment of Community Nutrition Volunteers
∎ - Provide initial and ongoing g training to Community Nutrition Volunteers, following national and international guidelines
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and provide guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions
∎ Coordination and External Representation:
∎ - Act as a focal point for community leaders and members. Collect feedback and complaints and report back to the Nutrition Coordinator
∎ - Attend CiC and other field level meetings as requested by the Nutrition Project Team
∎ - Liaise with other partners providing nutrition and health activities in the nutrition site catchment area for good coordination of outreach activities
∎ - Refer to the Programme Manager before making any verbal or written commitment
