Job Context:
∎ Helen Keller Intl is an international organization providing technical assistance that emphasizes building the technical and operational capacities of different local government and non-governmental partners including national and international NGOs, development partners, academic and research institutions, and the private sector. In the past two decades, Helen Keller Intl has successfully designed, implemented, monitored, and evaluated community-based, health and nutrition projects in 22 countries. During its 40 years of working in Bangladesh, since 1978, Helen Keller Intl has provided technical leadership in nutritional surveillance, homestead food production, vitamin-A supplementation, and nutrition behavior change education. Helen Keller Intl takes a gender-sensitive approach to improving nutrition, food security and eye health. Current program areas include Dhaka, Sylhet, Bogura, Mymensingh, Satkhira, Chittagong, Cox`s Bazar and the CHT.
∎ The Investment Component VGD (ICVGD), one of the social safety net programme of Bangladesh, was introduced within the VGD programme in 2015. The objective of the ICVGD program is to better enable the participating VGD women and their households to move out of extreme poverty. The overall programme objective is to achieve specific nutrition outcome for children by implementing nutrition sensitive social protection programme envisioned in National Social Security Strategy (NSSS) of Bangladesh. The project will be implemented in 64 Upazilas of Bangladesh in collaboration with the Ministry of Women & Children Affairs (MOWCA) of Bangladesh Government. Helen Keller Intl will work as strategic partner providing required technical assistance and overall implementation support to implementing NGOs at field level. Helen Keller Intl is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions for the WFP ICVGD project.
∎ Job Location : Chittagong Division
∎ Reporting to : Training Manager
∎ Supervises : N/A
∎ Duration: : 11 Months with possible extension depending of funding, expected start date is February 2021.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION & PLANNING
∎ Assist in developing training module from local perspective and Customize training document as per program context in consultation with WFP Consultant
∎ Assist Program Coordinator to develop training curriculum as per projects' requirement with support from other Program Coordinators and from WFP
∎ Supervise and monitor the nutrition education related activities of in the field
∎ Facilitate Social BCC and Life skill training effectively with the community people
∎ Provide necessary technical assistance to the Nutrition Workers of partner NGOs to implement nutrition education activities
∎ Supervise and monitor all nutrition education related counseling and resource pool meeting at field level
∎ Collect information on program success from the field and prepare case studies; Maintain liaison with government and non-governmental organizations in related to training and nutrition education activities at local level under supervision of program Coordinator
∎ Prepare monthly/quarterly report on training and nutrition education activities and submit to the supervisor
∎ Identify suitable venues to organize different trainings as per plan
∎ Ensure various training materials and necessary logistic support to conduct different training at all levels of the projects
∎ Work closely with PC to coordinate and maintain contacts with internal and external resource persons for training purpose, other responsibilities as assigned by PC and Training Manager
∎ Ensure at least one home visit to the community in a month
∎ Ensure Family & Individual counselling to the community to ensure behavior change of the targeted beneficiaries
∎ Conduct Training Need Assessment of the community women for developing contextual Social BCC and Life Skill training material

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years of professional experience working conducting training on nutrition SBCC and life skill issue
∎ Minimum working proficiency in English language
∎ Have proficiency in computer uses Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Internet Browsing
∎ In-depth understanding of the socio-economic, political and cultural context of Chittagong division
∎ Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds
∎ Demonstrated effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
∎ Capacity to work under pressure individually and in team
