Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Science (MSc) in Public Health, Nutrition
∎ Higher level qualification, preferably in a relevant technical field - Nutrition, Public Health
∎ Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, Proposal and Reporting trainings.
∎ Skills Required: Computer skill, Excellent communication skill

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Nutrition Management :
∎ Be responsible for supporting the implementation, management, supervision and support of the assigned project(s) in line with the activity plan and time frame of the relevant project proposal and any applicable national and international guidelines and standards
∎ Conduct regular field trips to nutrition sites, warehouses, suppliers and other facilities for support and supervision
∎ Provide input into the integration of beneficiary participation and accountability in all aspects of the project
∎ Strategy, Proposal Development and Reporting:
∎ Ensure accurate and timely reporting of activities for internal and external reports (e.g. monthly, quarterly and final reports) as requested by field managers, HQ and donors
∎ Work with the Project Manager and the senior management team in the identification and design of future projects.
∎ Conduct needs assessments, working with advisors, coordinators and project managers where necessary.
∎ Compile reports for donors and sector coordination bodies, when requested, providing relevant documents and narrative explanations.
∎ Assist project managers and the sector advisors in project design, including context and stakeholder analysis, liaising with key stakeholders/authorities and assisting with proposal narrative writing (including log frame, monitoring and evaluation plan, procurement plan, risk analysis, stakeholder mapping).
∎ Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning:
∎ Ensure that regular monitoring and evaluation assessments are conducted both against project objectives and to ensure the quality of the programme, with reports being made to the relevant field managers
∎ Manage the implementation of project Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, including analysis, reporting, and sharing lessons learnt.
∎ Oversee the process of data collection, collation and dissemination to meet the requirements and deadlines set by World Concern/Medair and/or external partners
∎ Staff Management:
∎ Manage and oversee the assigned team members, including recruitment, day-to-day management, development and training, appraisals, etc.
∎ Facilitate regular team meetings with the assigned team, reviewing team and individual objectives, ensuring team members are kept informed of issues relevant to their work and providing an opportunity for feedback.
∎ Actively participate and contribute to management team meetings
∎ Ensure the assigned team members receive relevant and appropriate supervision, coaching, mentoring and training in order to develop their personal and professional skills, knowledge and understanding.
∎ Financial Management:
∎ Work with the relevant field managers to plan, construct and manage budgets, including tracking expenditure and explaining variances for the assigned project(s)
∎ Communication and Coordination:
∎ Develop and maintain appropriate, regular, transparent and supportive communication structures within the assigned team, World Concern/Medair in-country nutrition officers, managers and advisors and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. beneficiaries, community leaders, local and national government officials, UN agencies and other NGOs)
∎ Represent World Concern/Medair at relevant local level coordination meetings involving local authorities, UN agencies and other NGOs as requested
∎ Logistics:
∎ Manage the correct and timely ordering (within budgetary constraints) of all necessary, supplies, medicines and equipment for the assigned facilities and activities, ensuring minimum stocks are maintained and items are stored and distributed correctly
∎ Quality Management:
∎ Promote and use the organisation's software, tools and other operating procedures, ensuring that all standardised formats are used and guidelines are followed
∎ Implement, as far as is possible within operational constraints, relevant policies and standards relating to project service delivery including Core Humanitarian Standard, Sphere standards, national requirements and donor guidelines and other good practices.
∎ Participate as requested in internal workshops and distance learning sessions to keep up with changing trends, new guidelines and best practices
∎ Delegated Responsibilities:
∎ Achievement of the assigned project outcomes within the budget and the agreed time frame
∎ Sector and Donor Reporting, with support from project teams
∎ Contribute to Nutrition strategy and proposal development
∎ Oversee maintenance and improvement of quality standards, compliance and internal controls.
∎ With support from the M&E Officer, conduct Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning activities in the project, including analysis and reporting.
∎ Filing and archiving of all required records and documents for the assigned project(s) according to the requirements of World Concern/Medair, donors and relevant local authorities
∎ Line management of assigned staff, including recruitment, performance monitoring, disciplinary action, etc.
