Job Context:
∎ Society for Health Extension and Development (SHED), a national NGO working in Cox`s Bazar district, is inviting applications from suitable candidates for its programme title, `Integrated Nutrition Interventions for Malnutrition Treatment and Prevention in FDMN`s Camps and Host Communities in Cox`s Bazar`. The Programme is jointly funded by UNICEF and WFP. SHED is looking for qualified candidates for the post of: Nutrition Expert (Nutritionist)

∎ Reporting to the Programme Manager, Nutrition, the Nutrition Expert will oversee and be responsible for the technical performance of the integrated nutrition facilities of the INI and IMCN programmes in Cox`s Bazar. He or she will oversee the technical development and implementation of CMAM/CMAMI/OTP/TSFP/BSFP/IYCF-E and outreach components of the programme, as well as ensuring strict adherence to donor proposals and standard protocol. The Nutrition Expert will work closely with the Programme Manager, and nutrition staff at the field level. He or she will oversee all programme staff at the nutrition sites in camp and host community programmes for all technical aspects. He or she will also take part in the development of nutrition project proposals, concept notes, and budgets. He or she will also attend nutrition coordination meetings at the field, nutrition sector, government, donor, and other stakeholder levels in relation to the program`s needs.
∎ Report to: Programme Manager (Nutritionist)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the direct supervision of Program Manager - Nutrition, this position will undertake the following tasks.
∎ Proposal and budget preparation:
∎ Leading the development of nutrition and nutrition-sensitive proposals, concept notes, and budgets.
∎ Ensuring budgets and financial resource planning is in place for all activities within the project.
∎ Ensuring that the project delivers high-quality internal and external reports with an agreed timeline and format to demonstrate the project result.
∎ Technical Responsibilities:
∎ To ensure quality and timely field level implementation of the nutrition programme against set objectives, targets, work plans, including monitoring against log frames, individual performance management work plans.
∎ Oversee the set-up of CMAM/CMAMI/OTP/TSFP/BSFP/IYCF-E/Outreach components in camps and activities at the camp and host community level as per project design.
∎ Monitor the delivery of the nutrition services as prescribed in the project proposal including mainstreaming cross cutting issues for example gender, PSEA, CP, inclusion and accountability
∎ Support the Deputy/Program Manager in the development and adaption of nutrition program job aides and IEC materials
∎ Identify training and capacity building needs for frontline staff and lead in preparation for and/or facilitation of the sessions as needed
∎ Mentor and coach the nutrition team on the program protocol and provide supportive supervision through OJT on service components and the cross cutting themes relevant to the project.
∎ Ensure that each member of the nutrition team fully understands the outcomes that are expected from them; supporting team members to work to the highest quality of standard possible.
∎ Represent SHED in particular camps in relevant camp level coordination forums along with partners.
∎ Reporting and documentation:
∎ Support Program Manager to timely prepare and submit high quality monthly, quarterly reports and other ad-hoc reports (quantitative and qualitative) as required. Ensure documentation of lessons learnt, case studies and best practices within the implementation of the CMAM program.
∎ Support and ensure that facility staff are maintaining standard tools/formats/documents as per agreement and project requirement.
∎ Regularly assess service quality and provide feedback and recommendations to the Program Manager, as well as field staff.
∎ Coordination, Communication and Advocacy:
∎ To play a key role as a technical person of contact between SHED and other stakeholders at all levels
∎ Participate in meetings, trainings and workshops for strengthening linkage of the nutrition programs to other sectors in the field level and Cox's Bazar level as well.
∎ Maintain good coordination with both external and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of harmonized technical standards and guidelines from donors/NS.
∎ Facilitate cross learning sharing, synthesis, documentation, and sharing of experience.
∎ Provide input into SHED and nutrition sector promotional, media, and communications materials on nutrition.
∎ Ensuring development and implementation of an appropriate advocacy strategy for the nutrition program in consultation with program stakeholders.
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation:
∎ Monitor and support supervision of nutrition team through OJT at field level to ensure that the service quality standards are on track.
∎ Work with MEAL team on beneficiary databases, and reporting tools, for smooth service delivery.
∎ Ensure frequent and quality monitoring visits in the project areas and share the monitoring report along with improvement plan with Program Manager.
∎ Attend monthly progress review meetings with project team and lead to evaluate technical progress of the project and develop action plans.
∎ Develop quality assurance mechanism with necessary tools and ensure that it is in practice.
∎ Anticipate areas where increased support may be required and proactively intervene to improve quality indicators.
∎ Other duties and responsibilities:
∎ Lead the research/internship activities of SHED.
∎ Support large or complex assessment/evaluation activities as required.
∎ Support implementation of rapid needs assessments in the event of emergencies.
∎ Undertake other duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Program Manager.
∎ Deputizing for the Program Manager in his/her absence from the program area.
∎ Objective6: Ensure organizational policies and donor compliances are in place
∎ Be aware of, understand and comply with all of SHED's policies and procedures (P4, finance, logistics, HR, security management, PSEA etc.).
∎ Orient staff and volunteers on SHED's policies and procedures (P4, finance, logistics, HR, security management, PSEA etc.).
∎ Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that the Complaints, Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM) is functional and accessible, that feedback and complaints are welcomed and addressed.
∎ Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that information about CFRM, safeguarding and expected staff behavior is disseminated among programme participants and communities.
∎ Work in a manner that protects confidentiality at all times.
∎ Besides, Deputize Programme Manager. Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the line manager(s).

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Professional Background:
∎ Around 4 years' progressive experience in Community nutrition programmes in a similar position (For highly technical candidates, experience is considerable).
∎ At least 02 (two) years' experience must be in Rohingya Response.
∎ Technical knowledge on Community management of acute malnutrition (CMAM), CMAMI and IYCF programming.
∎ Having good knowledge of Rohingya refugee programme and local context will add value.
∎ Required Competences & Skills:
∎ Pro- active with an ability to think analytically, identifying opportunities and mechanisms to broaden programming.
∎ Results oriented.
∎ Demonstrated ability to facilitate technical capacity building actions and program development.
∎ Demonstrated ability to represent organization at different levels and ensure buy in.

∎ Fluency in English, both written and verbal as well as Bangla.
∎ Proficient and hands on experience of using standard computer software and analytical tools.
∎ Must have a 'hands on', practical mentality, be self-driven and very self-motivated.
∎ Must be well organized.
∎ Age Limit:
∎ Maximum 35 Years (on 06/06/2023), but for highly potential candidate (s) age can be flexible.

Salary: Tk. 165000 (Monthly)
