Job Context:
∎ HEED Bangladesh is Non-Government and non-political National Organization working in the field of Health, Education and Economic Development for more the 45(forty five) years. HEED Handicrafts (HH) is a project of HEED Bangladesh, with the aim of creating jobs and employment for the poor and marginal people, specialized in handicrafts production, using locally available environment friendly resources. The Organization invites applications from the suitable candidates for the position of Nominated Quality Controller (NQC) for HEED Handicrafts (Tongi, Gazipur). Nature of job for Nominated Quality Controller (NQC) is Contractual.
∎ -One Year Contractual Appointment (With Possibility of Extension)
∎ -Start Date- As soon as possible
Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Work together with Quality personnel in the factory responsible for the H&M and other buyer’s order.
∎ • Follow the standard requirements, when inspecting the order.
∎ • Check the malarial, weight, hand feel, stretch ability etc, correspond with seal counter sample.
∎ • Find problems, do the root cause analysis and make corrective action plan report.
∎ • Explain the comments, faults or rejections to the quality responsible from factory.
∎ • Take approved accessories trim card, data sheet, production planning standard , risk Assessment sheet lab test report.
∎ • Perform duties and maintain total reporting as and when required by the management and H&M in line with the designation.
∎ • Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database
∎ • Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
∎ • Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements
∎ • Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
∎ • Good written and verbal communication skills
∎ • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
∎ • Keen attention to detail
∎ • Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications
∎ • Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers and computers
∎ • In-depth understanding of company standards
∎ • Understanding of target market and consumer needs
∎ • Documentation and reporting skills
∎ • Teamwork and collaboration
∎ • Analyze nearly finished product samples daily for quality, durability, safety and known product specifications before the final stage of production.
∎ • Evaluate the materials routinely used during production, the work environment and components during production by running specific tests of quality.
∎ • Seek answers and information regarding customer or in-house problems with product quality or performance by investigating all parts of the production process.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ • Good computer skills on MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
∎ • Good oral and written communication skill both in Bangla and English.
∎ • Willingness in frequent travel as required
∎ • At least 02 year(s) in similar field
