Responsibilities & Context:
Patient Care: Assess, monitor, and treat critically ill and premature newborns.
Technical Skills: Perform advanced neonatal care, including tube feeding, IV line management, blood glucose monitoring, thermoregulation management, and phototherapy.
Emergency Support: Assist in delivery room high-risk deliveries, provide neonatal resuscitation (NRP), and manage artificial life support, including ventilators, Bubble CPAP, and modern incubator technology.
Monitoring: Continuous 24-hour monitoring of heart rate, respiration, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure, promptly reporting changes to consultants.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other staff to carry out individualized care plans.
Documentation: Maintain precise, up-to-date patient medical records and nursing plans.
Family Education: Offer emotional support to parents and educate them on kangaroo care, breastfeeding, and at-home care before discharge.
Infection Control: Adhere strictly to sterile techniques and infection control protocols to protect vulnerable newborns.
