• Able to work both independently and as part of a team

• Psychologically prepared to work under pressure

• Passionate about pursuing a carrier in corporate media sector

• Able to commit to a minimum of a 2-year job contract

• Living in Uttara or nearby areas

• One to three years of experience of working as a journalist/editor in news media, preferably in any online news portal.

The News Reporter will responsible for collecting, writing news, develop news content for all media outlets of SIMEC Group including Weekly SIMEC, SIMECNEWS.COM, Jugobarta.com and other social media platforms. S/He will be responsible for developing ideas for stories, collecting information and writing publishable stories or news reports or creating media contents. In other words, the News Reporter will perform a comprehensive job as a dynamic digital journalist. S/He will also run and plan the digital media content utilizing the SIMEC

Studio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collection of news, writing and editing

• News/stories uploading on the news portal

• Interviewing professionals and officials

• Selecting and managing content for the news portal

• Uploading reports, photos, videos and other form of content on the news portal

• Preparing press release

• Handling institutional social media accounts

• Collaborating with editors, photographers, and other team members to ensure

• comprehensive and high-quality coverage

• Fact-checking of information
