∎ 2 to 4 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ Install, configure and support School Elementary local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) and Internet system.
∎ Maintain network hardware and software in the campus.
∎ Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance.
∎ May supervise other network and client service specialist and plan, coordinate and implement network security measures post approval.
∎ Maintain EMS software.
∎ Is responsible for the configuration, maintenance and operation of SCHOOL’s network, servers, desktop, and storage infrastructure. Ensures that the school’s network and all related equipment are functional to accommodate system users.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Get acquainted with the current server system, CCTV surveillance system and IT Departments of both Banani Campus, and Gulshan campus on need basis.
∎ Regular:
∎ Installs, configures, tests and maintains servers, SAN, and related networking equipment.
∎ Monitors scheduled jobs and computer output for completeness, accuracy, and errors.
∎ Performs all critical data backups and secures data according to established procedures.
∎ Installs firmware and security updates on servers, printers, and related networking equipment.
∎ Configures and maintains all PCs and laptops which are school property.
∎ Installs, configures and maintains IPS/IDS, Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Anti- Malware, etc. for maximum internal network protection.
∎ Maintains Unified Communications (Unified communications (UC) is a business and marketing concept describing the integration of enterprise communication services such as instant messaging (chat), presence information, voice (including IP telephony), mobility features (including extension mobility and single number reach), audio, web & video conferencing, fixed-mobile convergence (FMC), desktop sharing, data sharing (including web connected electronic interactive whiteboards), call control and speech recognition with non-real-time communication services such as unified messaging (integrated voicemail, e-mail, SMS and fax). , VoIP, and any related equipment, services, and platforms.
∎ Maintains all data used for redundancy efforts and assists with remediation efforts as result of test findings and risk assessments.
∎ Logs all computer, terminal, and printer hardware/software problems. Calls maintenance organizations and arranges for repair. Notifies supervisor of unusual problems.
∎ Assists with software upgrades and installations.
∎ Creates scripts for automation of common tasks.
∎ Provides IT support to operational staff and others as needed.
∎ Performs such other duties as may be required from time to time for the overall management and operation SCHOOL.
∎ Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components.
∎ Perform data backup and disaster recovery operations.
∎ Implement and troubleshoot storage and file distribution tools/protocols.
∎ Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records.
∎ Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems.
∎ Analyze equipment performance records in order to determine the need for repair, replacement or renewal.
∎ Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records.
∎ Maintain an inventory of parts for emergency repairs.
∎ Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.
∎ Ensure site blocking of certain sites.
∎ Change passwords on a monthly basis for secure wifi connection and reduce misuse.
∎ Identify and block links if information is being illegally passed on.
∎ Regularly monitor link/site visits to minimize wrongful usage.
∎ Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes along with submission of comparative price quotations.
∎ Train co-workers in computer system use.
∎ Train co-workers in upgrading their existing skills.
∎ Train faculties and phase in the soft-copy assessment system.
∎ Support and manage all areas of EMS with Addiesoft Ltd.
∎ Assisting with IT acquisitions and following the proper quotation taking procedure

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 27 to 32 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ To be able to move around campus, covering rooftops, and all other areas, to check LAN maintenance and other networking issues.
∎ Depending on time of school year and work load, ready to put in hours, beyond work hours, to complete work and meet deadlines.
∎ Required Skills:
∎ Requires an advanced proficiency in the operation of local and wide-area networks and components.
∎ Must be proficient with current Microsoft Server and different operating systems.
∎ Must be able to perform duties accurately and independently.
∎ Must be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
∎ Must be able to work with members and associates in person or over the phone, in a courteous, pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
∎ Discretion, accuracy and clarity in communication are essential.
∎ A high degree of professionalism in regard to safeguarding sensitive data.
∎ Knowledge about local IT vendors
