Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Multiplayer Game Developer to create high-performance, real-time multiplayer games. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Cocos Studio / Cocos2d-x, strong knowledge of multiplayer networking, and practical skills integrating games with Node.js real-time backend systems. You will collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver smooth and scalable multiplayer experiences (including integration with live streaming and SaaS platforms).

Key Responsibilities

• Game Development: Design, develop, and maintain real-time multiplayer games using Cocos Studio / Cocos2d-x.

• Multiplayer Logic: Implement game logic, matchmaking, session state management, real-time sync, and replication.

• Backend Integration: Integrate with Node.js backend services and support microservices for sessions, scoring, rewards, and analytics.

• Performance Optimization: Reduce latency, optimize network usage, and ensure stable gameplay under high load.

• Cloud Infrastructure: Work with AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch) for hosting, scaling, and monitoring.

• Collaboration: Work closely with designers and backend engineers to build intuitive and well-integrated experiences.

• QA & Stability: Debug, test, and maintain production game stability and performance.

• Security & Fair Play: Ensure secure data handling and implement fair-play logic to protect game integrity.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

Game Development

• Strong expertise in Cocos Studio or Cocos2d-x (multiplayer and real-time preferred)

• Solid understanding of multiplayer networking: latency handling, synchronization, state replication

• Strong performance optimization skills for real-time gameplay

Backend & Architecture

• Strong proficiency in Node.js

• Experience with real-time systems: WebSocket / Socket.IO / gRPC

• Experience with microservices and client-server integration patterns

Cloud & DevOps

• Solid knowledge of AWS: EC2, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3

• Familiarity with CloudWatch, IAM, and DynamoDB/RDS operations

Databases

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB

• Practical knowledge of schema/indexing/performance tuning and handling high-frequency writes

Required Experience

• 3+ years of professional game development experience

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in multiplayer games

• Proven production experience with Cocos Studio / Cocos2d-x

• Strong experience with Node.js real-time backend systems

• Experience deploying/maintaining services on AWS

• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB

Nice to Have (Optional)

• Experience with live streaming or interactive/live games

• Knowledge of Redis or caching strategies

• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes

• Familiarity with anti-cheat mechanisms
