Job Context:
The Assistant Manager – Governance & Cybersecurity supports the implementation, operation and continuous improvement of Tekvision’s IT governance, information security and cybersecurity controls. The role focuses on day-to-day execution of governance processes, compliance activities, risk management and security operations while ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
This position plays a hands-on role in strengthening Tekvision’s security posture, audit readiness and governance maturity across IT, manufacturing-support and client-facing environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Governance & Policy Implementation
Support the implementation and enforcement of IT governance policies, standards and procedures.
Assist in maintaining governance documentation, SOPs, control registers and compliance records.
Monitor adherence to access control, asset management, change management and data protection policies.
Support periodic governance reviews and internal assessments.
2. Cybersecurity Operations Support
Assist in monitoring and maintaining cybersecurity controls across networks, systems, endpoints and applications.
Support vulnerability assessment activities, security patch coordination and baseline hardening initiatives.
Assist in incident identification, logging, escalation and post-incident documentation.
Work closely with Infrastructure and Service Management teams to ensure secure operations.
3. Central Security Operations Center (SOC) Support
Support the setup and day-to-day operations of Tekvision’s centralized SOC, including security monitoring, alert triage, incident handling and documentation.
Assist in operating SOC tools (SIEM, dashboards, ticketing) and coordinating incident response with Infrastructure, Systems and Service Desk teams.
Maintain SOC runbooks, audit evidence and readiness to onboard new sites, systems and future clients.
4. Risk & Compliance Management
Support IT and information security risk assessments and maintain risk registers.
Assist in tracking compliance against frameworks such as ISO 27001, ITIL, COBIT, or equivalent standards.
Maintain evidence repositories and compliance documentation for audits and reviews.
Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
5. Audit & Assessment Support
Assist in preparation for internal, external and client audits related to IT governance and cybersecurity.
Coordinate collection of audit evidence and track audit observations and action plans.
Support continuous improvement initiatives arising from audit findings.
6. Awareness & Process Improvement
Support information security awareness programs and internal communications.
Assist in updating policies and procedures based on regulatory, business, or risk changes.
Contribute to process standardization and governance maturity initiatives.
7. Collaboration & Team Support
Work under the guidance of the Manager – Governance & Cybersecurity to execute departmental plans.
Collaborate with Infrastructure Services, Software Engineering, HR and Corporate Services teams.
Support governance and security readiness for new systems, locations, or clients.
