  • Minimum 6 years of experience in health systems strengthening or multi-sectoral programs.

  • Strong understanding of health systems and resilience strategies

  • Good communication skill both in English & Bangla.

  • Adequate skills in computer applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • People management, proficiency in project management and report writing.

  • Proven experience coordinating with government agencies and donors.

  • Demonstrated commitment to PSHEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Harassment, and Abuse).

Job Purpose

  • The Multi-Sectoral Coordination Specialist will engage with multiple relevant stakeholders across different tiers for successful implementation of health system strengthening activities to Improve health outcomes with local level health authorities.

About the Role

  • The USAID/Bangladesh Strengthening Local Level Health Systems (SLLHS) project is a five-year initiative aimed at strengthening local health systems to deliver equitable, high-quality public health services. The project, led by RTI International in partnership with BRAC, focuses on four key objectives: strengthening systems for evidence-based planning, improving service delivery, enhancing the enabling environment for health systems, and building resilience at the local level.

  • BRAC’s role includes providing technical expertise in community engagement, health systems resilience, climate change integration, and social accountability

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination with national and local stakeholders, including government ministries, implementing partners, and the private sector.

  • Participate in internal and external coordination meetings, such as the Consortium Working Group and district-level coordination.

  • Regularly engage with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to share updates and align project activities.

  • Provide guidance in developing multi-sectoral coordination mechanism to strengthen community and other non-government agencies voice in local level planning and decision making

  • Provide strategic guidance on integrating themes such as health system resilience, climate change adaptation, and social accountability into local service delivery by engaging both local and central level stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the development of workplans, technical inputs, and reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and timely submission

  • Support Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) activities to track progress and provide inputs for monthly updates, close-out reports, and final deliverables.

  • Attend review meetings and support continuous improvement of the coordination process.

  • Ensure coordination for technical assistance and stakeholder engagement aligns with project goals

Safeguarding responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
