Educational Requirements:
∎ 1 year of experience in relevant field Three years of Diploma in Medical Technology from any recognized institution (medical technologist).
∎ Minimum 2 (two) years of experience in a relevant field or area of health program management.

Job Context:
∎ Job Location: FDMN Camp Cox`s Bazar (Ukhiya)
∎ Work will begin on a formal basis at 8:00 am (Saturday to Thursday).
∎ Contract Duration (Years, Months, and Days): 18 Months (with the possibility of extension).
∎ Primary Location: Bangladesh-Cox`s Bazaar.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent will provide support through performing the following duties (not limited to):
∎ Making up chemical solutions.
∎ Performing laboratory testing according to the doctor's advice.
∎ Sorting blood and tissue samples.
∎ Carefully removing chemical and biological waste.
∎ Labelling tubes and bottles.
∎ Looking after equipment stocks and ordering replacements when needed.
∎ Cleaning and sterilizing equipment.
∎ Identification and preparation of all samples.
∎ Ensuring that all procedures are documented and updated as required.
∎ Oversees specimen collection activities.
∎ Oversees specimen referral activities.
∎ Willing to support emergency situations with MMT.
∎ Support the other relevant program according to need and casualties.
∎ Oversees laboratory requisition preparation for outpatients.
∎ Maintaining optimum temperature for lab reagents and ensuring biosafety of the laboratory.
∎ Reports to work as scheduled and willing to work out of duty time.
∎ Reporting to supervisor.
∎ Performing specimen analysis by using laboratory tools and equipment, in order to study samples and perform necessary tests.
∎ Looking for abnormalities in samples that evidence disease and conveying this information to the relevant medical practitioner.
∎ Provide advice and interpretation of test results and the appropriateness of further investigations.
∎ Using checklists, medical software- NIROG, and retesting to get thorough and precise results.
∎ Comply with established health and safety policies with regard to handling of instruments, storage of drugs and disposal of sharps and other potentially dangerous equipment and substances. Comply with current NZ legislation.
∎ Safeguarding Gender Sensitiveness.
∎ Be part of embedding an organizational culture that is committed to protecting patients from harm.
∎ Ensure that the team understands and abides by the organization's culture of safeguarding.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Ability to work independently and in a team with field mobilization.
∎ Good interpersonal and communication skills.
∎ Good oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft word and Microsoft Excel is preferable.
∎ Willingness to conduct outreach sputum collection/smearing center at the field. GencXpert experience will be preferred, minimum, especially in TB.
∎ Training on relevant filed.
∎ At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience of which at least one year in a laboratory setting.
∎ Experience in programme or programme support in UN/ International Organization, NGO or Government.
∎ Previous experience working in COVID-19 testing laboratory or other high-threat pathogens laboratories and or emergency context.
∎ Teamwork.

∎ Moving forward in a changing environment.
∎ Producing Results.
∎ Excellent writing/reporting and editing skills, communication and presentation skills in English and Bengali.
∎ Ability to communicate in written and spoken English and local (Chittagonian) language.
