Job Context:
∎ Health and Education for All (HAEFA) is an international leader in providing healthcare to the underserved and most vulnerable populations in Bangladesh including coastal and hard-to-reach regions, FDMN Camps, urban, semi-urban, and rural areas. HAEFA`s compassionate medical team members use its technological innovations, a solar-powered electronic health record (EHR) system known as NIROG, for the management of chronic diseases, and a paperless see-and-treat cervical cancer screening and treatment programs.
∎ HAEFA is looking for a Medical Assistant, a dynamic professional ready to accept the challenges of humanitarian work for its Noakhali health programs. The Medical Assistant should be self-motivated, proactive, willing to learn new strategies and program procedures, and able to generate reports and swiftly handle donors, project stakeholders, and local government/International delegates. Empathy for people from disadvantaged and underprivileged backgrounds is considered a key quality at HAEFA.

∎ Job Location : UHC’s of Noakhali, Bangladesh
∎ Employment type : Full-time (3 months Probationary Period)
∎ Duration of Contract : Initially, 6 months (renewable)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Undertaking patient consultations and physical examinations, monitoring and administering of patient medication.
∎ Assessing and planning patient treatment and referral requirements.
∎ Promoting health education to beneficiaries and coordination with community leaders and other stakeholders of the project, Managing local government (CIC/RRRC), DGHS authorities, and UN organizations
∎ Respond to patients’ medical problems by referring to their history, carrying out diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and referral where necessary.
∎ Order lab tests and interprets the test results.
∎ Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
∎ Collect, record, and maintain sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history, and reports in NIROG Tab and database in a password-protected and HIPAA-compliant (patient confidentiality) manner.
∎ Promote health education in conjunction with other health professionals
∎ Involve in the supervision of medical camps, training, and seminars, meetings.
∎ Project reporting, data recording, and coordination within the project team and with the Dhaka office.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc, Corporate IT Support, IT Management
