∎ Skills Required: Buyer Handling, Costing, Marketing and merchandising, Microsoft Excel, Production, Supplier Management
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 15 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
In apparel industry with minimum 5 years at managerial position.

Buying House
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Train Merchandisers on standard operating procedures and other areas to strengthen the performance team (Critical path management, costing, to reduce lead time).
∎ Recruitment of merchandisers and review of merchandising team structure to identify and strengthen any requirements to support business growth.
∎ Review weekly progress, utilization, fabric backing and balances and take necessary steps to resolve any exceptions.
∎ Weekly review of factory capacity allocation, utilization and supplier strategy with the MIS department.
∎ Review business levels, compare season to season, order placed, delivered, profit margin, and work to grow business on areas the cost can be reduced.
∎ Review on-time fabric in-house status as per Time & Action plan. Cut on-time and resolve exceptions if there are delays to produce and deliver on time.
∎ Daily review of alerts and notifications message passed by MIS and maintain up to date data in MIS.
∎ Review detailed cost sheets with concern merchandisers to meet internal target prices to secure business.
∎ Check margins and work to maintain target margin.
∎ Arrange a structured training calendar with Admin manager to conduct internal and external training to merchandise teams.
∎ Make sure merchandising, technical and risk analysis meetings are carried out to ship quality stock.
∎ Review new business and identify the risk of the product, supplier and make arrangements to increase focus to minimize risks.
∎ Monthly review of business objectives and follow up / plan to achieve objectives. Dealing with the Customers.
∎ Take care of the customers and understand the needs of the customer and service to meet the needs.
∎ Make sure emails are responded within reasonable time limit and follow up with regular phone calls to build a strong relationship.
∎ Plan to visit and meet Buyers and visit factories with teams when Buyers visit Bangladesh.
∎ Set objectives and targets at the beginning of the year to improve reliability, service, caliber of staff, supplier performance.
∎ Avoid air freights and make necessary arrangements to communicate potential air freights and process claims with commercial team immediately.
∎ Understand the supplier and work with them to service the needs of the customer.
∎ Visit factories and carry out progress inspections, resolve exceptions, share KPI's and support them to improve standards.
∎ Arrange supplier appraisal twice a year, coordinate data between technical, merchandising.
∎ Arrange supplier training and development.
∎ Build a relationship and maintain the customer and supplier relationship.
∎ Any other tasks have been assigned by the Management time to time in order to meet the business needs.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 40 to 55 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Over 15 years sourcing and merchandising experience in Woven and Knitwear apparel products.
∎ At least 5 years working at managerial level, leading large teams.
∎ A strong sourcing network and good understanding of European market trend is a must.
∎ Excellent project management skills and leadership skills.
∎ Self-motivated, independent, proactive. Able to work under pressure calmly.
∎ Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a service mindset and ability to build strong working relationships.
∎ Good command of written and spoken English and computer literacy.
