Job Context:
∎ HEED Bangladesh is Non-Government and non-political National Organization working in the field of Health, Education and Economic Development for more the 45 (forty-five) years. HEED Handicrafts (HH) is a project of HEED Bangladesh, with the aim of creating jobs and employment for the poor and marginal people, specialized in handicrafts production, using locally available environment friendly resources. The Organization invites applications from the suitable candidates for the position of ‘Merchandiser’ for HEED Handicrafts (Tongi, Gazipur).
∎ -The nature of the job is contractual
∎ -Start Date- As soon as possible
Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Good knowledge on consumption & order follow-up.
∎ • Organize and follow up orders from sample development to submission.
∎ • Source and identify qualified handicrafts producer and monitor production process.
∎ • Negotiable and work out the best pricing point between buyer and producer.
∎ • Able to communicate with buyers & producers.
∎ • Good in public dealing, frequent visit for production follow-up including sourcing, ability to work under pressure, good time management & good interpersonal relationship.
∎ • Ensure smooth & timely execution of the order.
∎ • Monitor production and ensure time schedule and quality of handicrafts products.
∎ • Following all over quality issues with internal and external concern.
∎ • Make sure producers/business partners deliver the goods on time.
∎ • Provide the source of handicrafts producer, value addition and accessories supplier to the design and production unit
∎ • Budget preparation of Handicrafts products, Accessories and Finished Product with operational planning flowchart.
∎ • Ensure Better Stock Management - Utilize additional/access Accessories by the new dimension.
∎ • Continuously study and analyze market conditions, economic trends and competition and propose initiatives.
∎ • Ensure smooth communications with buyer and producer on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
∎ • Reviewing buyer feedback to predict buyer trends and seasonal stock demand.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Handicrafts.
∎ • Excellent command of English.
∎ • Must be able to handle international clients e.g. H&M.
∎ • Must be expert in Computer operating such as MS Word, Excel, Power point, Microsoft Team, Zoom, Email and Internet browsing etc.
∎ • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
∎ • Proactive and positive attitude.
∎ • Good leadership ability to lead & motivate the subordinates. Working experience in the related field will be preferred.
Salary: Tk. 40000 (Monthly)
