Verify patient identity and examination request
Explain the procedure and obtain consent
Position patients correctly for imaging
Apply radiation protection measures (Lead apron, Shielding)
Screen female patient for pregnancy before exposure
Performing Imaging Procedures
Perform examinations such as:
X-Ray
CT scan
MRI
Ultrasound (If trained)
Follow physician’s instructions for required views
Ensure proper image quality before sending to radiologist
Equipment Handling & Maintenance
Operate and adjust imaging machines
Report faults or technical problems
Ensure radiation safety compliance
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain patient records
Enter data into the systems
Label and store images properly
Assist radiologists during interventional procedures
Radiation Protection & Safety
Use personal dosimeter
Ensure protection of staff, patients, and attendants
Maintain compliance with regulatory authority guidelines
Professional & Ethical Duties
Maintain patient confidentiality
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Continue professional development (CPD)
Follow hospital policies and ethical standards
