As a Medical Technologist (Radiology and Imaging) at AMZ Hospital Ltd, you will be integral to the diagnostic team. Your role is crucial in ensuring that diagnostic images are captured with precision and in a manner that prioritizes patient safety. You will work in collaboration with doctors, nurses, and radiologists, helping to deliver accurate and reliable imaging for the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients. In addition to technical proficiency, your ability to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare staff will be essential in ensuring smooth operations within the radiology department.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

The incumbent would be completely responsible for:

• Radiology Equipment Operation: Operate diagnostic imaging equipment, including X-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound machines, to capture accurate and high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
• Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures. Explain the process to patients, answer any queries, and assist with positioning to obtain the best quality images.
• Image Analysis: Review and analyze imaging results for technical quality before sending them to radiologists for further analysis. Ensure images meet the required diagnostic standards.
• Collaboration with Radiologists: Work closely with radiologists to understand the clinical needs of each patient and ensure imaging procedures are carried out accordingly.
• Maintaining Imaging Records: Ensure that all images and patient information are properly stored and documented in the hospital’s medical records system, following confidentiality protocols.
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain radiology equipment. Report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate department for timely repairs.
• Quality Control: Adhere to safety standards and protocols to prevent radiation exposure. Maintain a safe working environment by following radiation protection guidelines.
• Assisting in Advanced Imaging Techniques: In cases of specialized imaging techniques such as fluoroscopy or angiography, assist radiologists in performing advanced imaging procedures.
• Emergency Response: In case of emergency imaging requirements, respond promptly to ensure the necessary imaging is performed quickly and effectively.
