∎ Tdh is working in Bangladesh since 1974, with operations in the north of the country (Kurigram district), in the Dhaka district and in Cox Bazaar district. Tdh is implementing programs on Health, WASH, Access to Justice (social cohesion and conflict resolution), Migration and Child protection, both in development and emergency context.
∎ Following the massive displacement of around 900,000 Rohingya people into Bangladesh, since the end of August 2017, Tdh is implementing an emergency response program to provide relief to the Rohingya refugees and host communities, notably on Child protection, WASH and Health. Tdh`s Child Protection (CP) program consists of three main components: Psychosocial Support (PSS) to children, adolescents and caregivers; Case Management, including Alternative Care and Caring for Child Survivors, and Support to Community-based CP mechanisms.
∎ Purpose of the Post:
∎ Under the guidance of the Medical Data officer and in collaboration with the M&E Officer, the Data Assistant is responsible for all data collection and preservation. He/she contributes to the reporting-related activities of the project in line with reporting requirements and the M&E framework.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure is OPD card, Doctor tally, and Daily Registration Book was properly filled.
∎ Verify and Ensure data accuracy by comparing Primary and Secondary data sources.
∎ Communicate and recheck with the health team and other PHC staff to clarify the report and other additional information.
∎ Provide advice and orientation to the health team to ensure the provision of qualitative, consistent and accurate data according to the standard operating procedure.
∎ Ensure all hard copies and files are secure and preserved.
∎ Keeping a record of the reported data in both soft and hardcopy format.
∎ Create and upgrade data input tools and format.
∎ Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure optimal archiving.
∎ Under the guidance of the Medical Data officer and in collaboration with the M&E Officer, contribute to the data management, design and conduct program assessments and evaluations.
∎ Provide high quality, complete and timely data to management on a periodic basis or when required.
∎ Ensure daily entry of records into the KOBO toolbox for effective storage and backup for effective monitoring and assessment of the performance of the project at the field level.
∎ Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or databases with a high sense of thoroughness.
∎ Create spreadsheets with large numbers of data, charts and figures.
∎ Update existing data.
∎ Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.
∎ Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
∎ Reporting all kinds of health data to DHIS-2, EWARs, SRH and other data warehouses daily and weekly basis.
∎ Maintaining database in an organized manner.
∎ Helping data officer in archiving and filing previous data.
∎ Contributing to the creation of a data archive corner.
∎ Report if there is any issue found within data management system, confidentiality and security.
∎ Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Proven experience with data collection: minimum 1 year
∎ Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
∎ Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
∎ Fluency in written and spoken Bangla and English
∎ Fluency in the local language (Chittagonian) will be considered as a plus
∎ Organization skills, attention to detail and thoroughness
∎ Quick typing skills
∎ Confidentiality.
