Educational Requirements:
∎ Medical graduate - MBBS or an undergraduate degree in statistics/ sciences/ social sciences with a post-graduate degree in public health/ epidemiology/ statistics/ social sciences.

∎ At least 10 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the overall guidance of the Country Lead- ASCEND the M&E Advisor will be responsible for the monitoring of program ASCEND project activities aimed for elimination of VL and LF in Bangladesh.
∎ She/he will ensure high quality and timely inputs for the program activities and availability of updated KPI's.
∎ The incumbent will lead designing and implementation of M&E activities in consultation with Country Lead- ASCEND and Regional ASCEND team.
∎ S/he will support the strengthening of the existing systems/ mechanism for collection, collation and analysis of program data pertaining to VL and LF.
∎ The M&E Advisor will undertake regular analysis of the program data and share the findings/ progress with the Country Lead- ASCEND, National Program and Regional Team- ASCEND.
∎ The M&E advisor will also ensure participation and representation of ASCEND in program review meetings of the national program, development of guidance documents and field visit for monitoring the program activities.
∎ The incumbent will work in close collaboration with the National Program Managers for VL and LF Elimination programs of Bangladesh, ASCEND Project Staff and partners.
∎ Strengthen existing monitoring and evaluation tools and processes. Develop new monitoring tools and indicators in consultation with Government counterparts and ASCEND team members.
∎ Monitor the progress of ASCEND project activities against the pre-determined targets and share updates.
∎ Develop and disseminate the situation reports for VL and LF elimination programs at regular intervals.
∎ Undertake field visit to the high priority areas and share the monitoring feedback with the program managers.
∎ Contribute to the development of the APP's for VL and LF programs.
∎ Contribute to the development of guidance documents being developed by the National Program for VL and LF in the country.
∎ Participate in the reviews and planning meetings / workshops.
∎ Build capacities of program personnel to use M&E tools.
∎ Assist the CL- ASCEND in the preparation of reports.
∎ Any other task assigned by the line supervisor/s.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 55 years
∎ At least 10 years of work experience in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating large scale public health programme.
∎ Proven experience of providing techno managerial support to the government public health programme managers.
∎ Proven experience of supporting government in disease surveillance and disease elimination/ eradication programmes.
∎ Experience of working with WHO/UNICEF or other INGO's.
∎ Excellent analytical skills and the ability to summarize disparate information in a clear and concise manner
∎ Skilled in supporting staff with a varied level of knowledge and capacities.
∎ Ability to balance competing priorities, work independently to efficiently meet deadlines
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written communication).
∎ Ability to network with people and advocacy.
