Job Context:
∎ The job requires the candidate to represent a Canadian university in Bangladesh.
∎ The ideal candidate will be a Marketing Manager who can effectively counsel future undergraduate students for the University.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The position is for an In-Country Representative (ICR) for a research University in Canada. The ICR will have the following duties:
∎ Responsibility for the implementation of some parts in the annual cycle of marketing and undergraduate recruitment activity, and any related administration tasks.
∎ Responsibility to achieve defined student recruitment targets and conversion rates for the responsible market aligned to the University recruitment objectives.
∎ Preparation and presentation of specialist information and individualized advice about The University to prospective students, their parents, counsellors and to a variety of external and internal audiences.
∎ Building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with external stakeholders such as student counsellors and high schools, alumni etc within Bangladesh.
∎ Detailed Job Description :
∎ Implementing marketing and recruitment activities in various regions within Bangladesh, and planning & implementing the annual cycle of recruitment events and activities for the University
∎ Working to increase student numbers. Coordinate activities for effective undergraduate international student recruitment and as appropriate personally attend education fairs, student events and seminars.
∎ Responding to enquiries from prospective students and their parents and counsellors knowledgeably and professionally, offering advice on qualifications and programme choices, admission and visa process and being able to advise at all stages of the recruitment cycle.
∎ Being responsible for implementing marketing and recruitment activities in the country, and overseeing arrangements relating to promotional activities, as well as logistics relating to travel, freight etc. This will include reporting and ongoing assessment of the effectiveness and value of events attended and providing recommendations for future activities in specific regions.
∎ Representing undergraduate recruitment both inside and outside the University and being able to make effective presentations on the University to diverse audiences.
∎ Overseeing maintenance and development of the central database of relevant regional contacts and updating details in the database and other systems as required.
∎ Organizing lead generation and conversion events as per the appropriate timing in the recruitment cycle. & Provide support to senior staff as required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 3-5 years of experience as a Counsellor (preference will be given to candidates who have studied in Canada or have international school experience)
∎ Should be experienced in using CRM
∎ The position is part-time & requires highly self-driven & self-motivated candidates.
∎ Experience with top high schools in Bangladesh will be an added advantage.
