Job Context:
∎ Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS), a national level non-government organization started its mission to stand by the distressed people with humanitarian aid when the country was hit by a massive flood in 1974. Having an organizational shape in 1977, MSS redirected its focus to poverty alleviation and empowerment of the poor especially the urban and rural women of Bangladesh. Thereafter, MSS started health and population services in 1982; an integrated savings and credit program for the urban poor in 1984 which has since become sustainable. MSS was again in the front line when focus of development shifted to building democratic societies and promoting good governance.
∎ Alongside working for poverty alleviation of the marginalized people, MSS is also promoting child rights, food security, health and nutrition services, housing and non-formal primary education with a vision to establish a society free from poverty where there is equality among citizens and citizens` rights are respected.

∎ MSS-WCP, the flagship program is growing with the inclusion of more members and opening of new branches. Until June 2019, MSS was operating its microfinance program through 144 branches in 102 upazillas and thanas of 17 districts. MSS emphasizes on social services programs to complement its credit program for holistic development of the underserved people.
∎ Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS) is now looking for a competent person in the position of Manager/ Senior Manager (Program Development) for it`s "Social Services Program"
∎ The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing program development, seek grants and write proposals, manage projects and ensure timely reporting. Be responsible for ensuring the activities and projects align with the goals and mission statements of MSS. Also be responsible for writing concept paper, EOI, organizational profile, brochure, newsletter, annual reports & various program reports (Interim & Completion), contribute to organization`s different publications and documentation and represent MSS in various forums.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
∎ Program Development and Management:
∎ Search for new projects/ grants, prepare and submit project proposals accordingly.
∎ Making liaison and maintain correspondence with donor agencies, attend meeting with donors, international visitors; undertake field visit with overseas visitors.
∎ Plan, organize, conduct and coordinate all seminar & workshop.
∎ Responsible for smooth functioning of SSSSP (NFPE, Daycare & Eye Vision Center) of MSS including drafting various policies.
∎ Provide support to MSS Eye Care Program for smooth functioning.
∎ Responsible for smooth functioning of MSS Medha Bikash Udyog including proper documentation and record keeping.
∎ Reporting and Documentation:
∎ Writing project proposal, concept paper, EOI, organizational profile, brochure, editing newsletter, program monitoring.
∎ Prepare annual reports, various program reports (Interim & Completion), contribute to organization's different publications and documentation.
∎ Generate reports weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly and as per the requirement of the management.
∎ Keep the organization informed about program development and ongoing activities by supplying periodic reports.
∎ Form Relationships with Other Organizations:
∎ Build and maintain partnerships and relationships with other relevant organizations, donor/sponsors, service providers, government agencies and community organizations.
∎ Expand resources, raise funding & educate people about the work of the organization.
∎ Represent MSS in various forums.
∎ Act as the Focal Person of Integrated Child Development Project (ICDP):
∎ Coordinate and communicate with concern persons of ICDP, Save the Children (SCI) and MSS Head Office.
∎ Participate in various meetings, workshops, trainings Organized by SCI and ICDP
∎ Attend monthly program progress meeting, procurement committee meeting, management level meeting and results review workshop with SCI & ICDP.
∎ Attend Detail Implementation Planning (DIP) workshop of ICDP with SCI.
∎ Review and provide feedback to various reports, budget variance analysis, presentation papers prepared by ICDP.
∎ Review and edit ICDP annual / quarterly / monthly report and send to SCI.
∎ Prepare & present presentation on MSS program activities before overseas visitors.
∎ Visit ICDP; accompany overseas visitors while they visit ICDP.
∎ Participate in joint monitoring of ICDP with SCI & provide feedback on joint monitoring report.
∎ Provide support to ICDP staff recruitment and selection process.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience:
∎ At least 6-8 years of practical experience in the relevant field in which at least 02 years in the similar role in any reputed National/International NGOs/Developments Agencies.
∎ Skill and Competencies:
∎ i) Must have excellent report and proposal writing skills both in English and Bangla.
∎ ii) Must have excellent writing, editing and proofreading capabilities/skills for content materials in both English and Bangla.
∎ iii) Should have high computer literacy with Bangla (Avro or Bijoy) and English typing.
∎ iv) Proofreading and editing capabilities for content materials.
∎ v) Must have the ability to translate Bengali to English and/or English to Bengali.
∎ vi) Display strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
∎ vii) Should be outgoing individuals who are comfortable working in a team-oriented setting and possess the ability to work with a diverse group of people.
∎ viii) Should have analytical multi-tasking skills to meet deadlines consistently and adapt well to change over the scope of a project or program.
∎ ix) Understanding organizational goals & objectives and creating programs that adhere to these guidelines.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka with occasional travel outside Dhaka.
