∎ Must have Masters in Economics/Sociology/Gender Studies/Development Studies or other related subjects under the domain of Social Sciences from a reputed university. Having a foreign degree will be an advantage.

Job Context:
∎ Centre for Research and Development (CRD) is a development research and consulting firm established in 2017 by a group of academicians and development professionals. With an initial base in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the CRD aims for gradual expansion in South Asia and East Asia region. In 2021, CRD has started its international operations with an international base in Ottawa, Canada. Since its inception, CRD has completed around 60 projects and provided services to Afghanistan, Ghana, India, Kenya, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh with different capacities. CRD offers services around M&E system design, conducting research, assessment, evaluation and developing and facilitating tailor made training in the areas WASH, ICT4D, Inclusive Agriculture, DRR, Climate Change, Financial Inclusion, Social Inclusion, Livelihood, Women Empowerment and Gender Equality. ∎ Report To: Head of Research & Evaluation/ Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
∎ Position Type: Contractual (initially one year, extendable upon satisfactory performance)
∎ Job Location: Dhaka; including field trips as per project requirement.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Relevant work experience of 4-6 years in research centre/development organization/academia/ independent research.
∎ Excellent management and organizational skills; ability to juggle and successfully complete several assigned tasks while meeting deadlines.
∎ Ability to communicate deviations from research plans and timelines and to take appropriate action.
∎ Familiar with Digital Data Collection Tools (Android Phone compatible Apps such as Kobo ToolBox, Survey CTO, AKVO Flow etc.)
∎ Basic knowledge in Quantitative and Qualitative data analysis
∎ Advanced writing and presentation skills in Bengali and English
∎ Knowledge of any other language or dialect is a plus.
Salary:
∎ Salary range is BDT 40,000-50,000 (negotiable for more deserving candidate).
