Responsibilities & Context:

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage the implementation of multiple donor-funded projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements.
  • Develop and oversee detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address challenges.
  • Prepare and submit regular project reports to donors and senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.

Project Proposal Development:

  • Collaborate with the Programme Implementation and Management team to develop project proposals that align with the organization's strategic priorities.
  • Conduct needs assessments and stakeholder consultations to inform project design and proposal development.
  • Prepare and present project proposals to donors and partners, ensuring alignment with their priorities and guidelines.

Team Supervision:

  • Supervise and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure effective implementation of project activities.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, promoting teamwork, professional development, and accountability among team members.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team productivity and morale.

Event Management:

  • Plan and coordinate project-related events, workshops, and meetings, ensuring all logistical arrangements are handled effectively.
  • Liaise with vendors, partners, and stakeholders to organize events that achieve project objectives and enhance stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure events are delivered within budget and comply with donor requirements.

Procurement and Administrative Support:

  • Oversee procurement processes for project-related goods and services, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor guidelines.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to project implementation, including documentation, record-keeping, and financial reporting.
  • Work closely with the finance and administration teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of project-related transactions.

Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL):

  • Implement basic MEAL activities to assess project performance and impact, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the MEAL team to develop and utilize monitoring tools and methodologies that measure project outcomes and inform decision-making.
  • Ensure that project learnings are documented and shared with relevant stakeholders to improve future project design and implementation.

Stakeholder Liaison:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, LGIs, donors, and other partners.
  • Represent JAAGO Foundation Trust in meetings, workshops, and other forums, advocating for the organization’s mission and objectives.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of project activities with national and local development priorities.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure that all project activities comply with organizational policies, donor regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to senior management and donors, addressing any issues or discrepancies.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to project management and donor compliance.
