Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering (IE) / Production & Industrial Engineering (P&IE)/ Industrial Production Engineering (IPE).

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Factory Operational Workflow:
∎ Developing & updating the Factory Operational Workflow to optimize the manufacturing operations & Department-wise Process flow every half-yearly & yearly.
∎ Facilities Lay-Out:
∎ Review and suggest alternate lay-out plans of factory facilities (covering all departments & functions) to minimize the movements (people, materials, machineries, processes & products) & maximize single direction flow.
∎ Periodically review & take initiatives to maintain fully functional IE covering:
∎ Right Capacity
∎ Right Talent
∎ Right SOP (Process Manual)
∎ Follow-up, implement, achieve & sustain the IE Tagline:
∎ 100% SMV-based manufacturing
∎ IE Operational Metrics (KPI)
∎ Define the KPI as per annual operational plan and correspondingly allocate the components to respective team members to plan, execute and achieve the desired results on-time.
∎ Update IE SOPs as and when required, under the guidance & approval from IE-HOD, train the target team, implement & monitor for sustainability.
∎ Ensure daily IE specific activities are effectively carried out across all production sections/lines.
∎ Leading & Directing, the IE Team to,
∎ design error free, on-time data collection process (very critical for ensuring the reliability of IE reports & statistics)
∎ obtain optimum productivity (PPP, pairs per person per shift)
∎ reach maximum on-standard efficiency & targeted overall efficiency
∎ optimize the floor lay-out & process workflow
∎ eliminate wastages
∎ progress multi-skill development
∎ effective allocation of resources (man-machineries)
∎ recommend and install ergonomically compatible workstations
∎ Coaching & Mentoring, the IE Team (and applicable production, maintenance, QA & HR) on: product lay-out design, worker skill selection, capacity planning, line-loading, line balancing, in-built QA, cycle-time reduction, minimum material movement/handling & eliminating overtime.
∎ SMV:
∎ Review, ensure,
∎ That 100%-time study & method study is performed with IE technique and with appropriate set-up: Stop-watch, jigs, fixtures, guides, tools, lighting, seating, etc.
∎ The accuracy of SMV & deriving process including the budgeted balancing loss & system loss.
∎ That 100% of the production processes are assigned with SMV (100% of the production processes in each production section are assigned with SMV prior bulk production commences).
∎ SMV established for all indirect standard processes for cross-functional / support departments: PD & QA
∎ Productivity Target: (Pairs Per Person-PPP, Overall Efficiency)
∎ Determine, finalize with IE-HOD, and Sign-off the section-wise productivity targets with respective Production HODs: Half-Yearly / Yearly aligning with operational goals.
∎ Daily monitoring on the statistics and direct the team on executing CAP.
∎ Accountable for resource & facility allocation (headcount, shifts, lines) against the production plan.
∎ Critical Factors affecting Productivity / Efficiency:
∎ Drive the team to determine the causes for Lost Time, Balancing Loss & Productivity (System) Loss.
∎ Lead the meetings with production & cross-functional stakeholders on the CAP and ensure execution.
∎ Review the execution results and follow-up untill the desired targets are achieved.
∎ Individual & Group Incentive:
∎ Learn & clearly Understand the productivity linked incentive system (both individual & group as applicable by the section) to production team including workers & supervisory staffs.
∎ Effectively execute, achieve, and closely monitor to sustain the desired productivity levels.
∎ Production-Labor OVH Costing:
∎ Drive SMV based product & process costing.
∎ Must determine and justify RIGHT Total Head Count (THC) in the factory covering:
∎ Direct & Indirect workers
∎ Direct & Indirect Staff, Management, Staff Non-Management Staff
∎ Direct to Indirect Ratio: Worker & Staff
∎ Monitor and escalate the lower productivity on Overtime work hours.
∎ KEY panel member in finalizing the Making Cost per Unit or Cost per Pair.
∎ Continuously work towards reducing the manpower without affecting productivity & capacity.
∎ Lead-Time:
∎ Analyze, study and determine the minimum lead-time (thro’ IE logical approach) for following processes:
∎ Development
∎ Order Receipt to FG Delivery (includes material supply process)
∎ Manufacturing
∎ With IE-HOD support, sign-off the finalized lead-Time with all stakeholders.
∎ Design the precise/simple user-friendly data recording-capturing system on the above & reporting structure.
∎ Receive, review & follow-up with respective stakeholders on the variations against standard lead-time.
∎ Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE):
∎ Follow the roadmap provided by IE-HOD to achieve the targeted OEE.
∎ Initiate & aggressively drive automation & semi-automation projects in manufacturing along with PD, Maintenance & Production.
∎ Continuous Improvement (CI):
∎ Re-engineering: Periodically evaluate that standard work procedures are being followed and look for the possibilities of improving the processes (steps, tools, and time) to reduce the SMV.
∎ Multi-Skill Development: Drive skill development program along with production & HR to improve the % of critical skilled operators to manage the demand fluctuations & uncertain absenteeism.
∎ Lead CI (Continuous Improvement) activities to enhance the productivity, cost reduction, lead time reduction & safety. Also, coordinate with counterparts of group units (U1, BO, and LM) to share and implement best practices across the group.
∎ Support QA team in performing RCA on customer complaints focusing on permanent corrective action.
∎ Drive CI program to achieve higher operational performance by deploying a forum to receive CI ideas (focused @ safety, productivity, quality & cost effectiveness) on monthly basis from all Team Members and then to review, finalize the most effective & required ideas-solutions and work on their execution plan along with reward linked in proportion to the earned savings for the respective team members.
∎ New Project Set-Up:
∎ Support ROI analysis prior implementing all major manufacturing based new/expansion capital expenditure projects through:
∎ project scope, cost/benefit analysis, budgeting
∎ lay-outs, SOPs, scheduling, and resource allocation
∎ Team Management:
∎ Support IE-HOD on team hiring, performance appraisal, development, and training processes to ensure the team competencies & capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations.
∎ Documentation:
∎ ensure the day-to-day documentation tasks, error free & on time reports
∎ upkeep and maintenance of IE dept. procedures in the Integrated Management System (ISO9001: 2015)

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 43 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum. of 10 years overall experience in managing the IE function in Automobile, Electronics, FMCG and or Fashion Industry with leadership accountability on department performance.
∎ a minimum of 5 years exclusive experience in shop-floor manufacturing/production function.
∎ Exposure in footwear production process will be an added advantage.
∎ Capable of managing the team and have the high potential to grow to next higher levels in the organization.
