Job Purpose
The Manager, Outreach will be responsible for driving participant engagement during outreach events and for designing, developing, and conceptualizing both internal and external initiatives. This role will oversee platforms, explore collaboration opportunities, enhance the capacity of BRAC staff, and act as a liaison between BRAC programmes and BRAC Institutes.
Additionally, the Manager will play a pivotal role in amplifying BRAC’s advocacy impact by building a robust knowledge base, ensuring effective information dissemination, and strengthening communication channels within the Advocacy for Social Change (ASC) programme. This position supports ASC’s mission to influence policy and foster capacity-building among stakeholders in Bangladesh and beyond. The ideal candidate will excel in knowledge management, strategic communication, content development, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement outreach strategies to effectively communicate BRAC’s advocacy goals, impact, and success stories to diverse audiences, including policymakers, donors, partners, and the general public.
Develop and curate impactful communication materials such as reports, policy briefs, newsletters, infographics, and videos that align with BRAC’s mission and engage target audiences.
Collaborate with BRAC’s communication team to ensure ASC messaging is consistent with organizational branding and broader communication strategies.
Create and execute knowledge management strategies to enhance the collection, organization, and dissemination of advocacy resources, research findings, and programmatic insights.
Lead the establishment and upkeep of a comprehensive knowledge repository, ensuring it is accessible, current, and well-organized for both internal and external stakeholders.
Work with program teams to document and showcase best practices, case studies, and success stories, with a focus on ASC’s core initiatives.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for knowledge management and communication efforts, providing regular updates on impact and recommending improvements.
Prepare and present periodic reports, presentations, and analyses for BRAC leadership and ASC partners to highlight achievements in knowledge sharing, capacity building, and advocacy.
Oversee or co-lead the design and execution of ASC-hosted campaigns and events, obtaining necessary approvals from senior management and ensuring efficient task allocation to maximize value for money.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
