∎ Job Location: This is a Cox`s Bazaar-based position with regular camp and host community visits as well as Dhaka office visits as required by the project.

∎ Position Summary:
∎
∎ Manager-Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), Play to Learn, Bangladesh Humanitarian Program will be
∎
∎ Leading MEL activities for SW PtL Bangladesh-led initiatives: (a) ECD Home Kit, (b) Watch, Play, Learn-ECD (WPL-ECD) project, and (c) Watch, Play, Learn-Child Protection (WPL-CP) project.
∎ Support MEL activities of existing partnerships with BRAC and IRC through in-person site visits and facilitation of learning activities; The positions also entail MEL-related day-to-day management and administrative and budget responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key area 1: Monitoring, Implementation, and MEL Management:
∎ Lead in the finalization of SWB's results-based framework, in close coordination with SWNY team.
∎ Design monitoring tools based on the program's needs and requirements.
∎ Implement the SWB results-based framework (collect the data, enter the data)
∎ Continuously update the archive of tools, reports, assessments, and program documentation.
∎ Conduct visits at program sites for quality assurance, data verification, and documentation of program implementation, including integration of SW's content in partner programs.
∎ Provide technical MEL support to all PtL partners including content-using partners and WPL partners through coordination, liaison, and training on key tools.
∎ Prepare/contribute to preparing the MEL plan and overall DIP.
∎ Lead the MEL Focal teams of WPL and others as constituted and contribute to partners' capacity building
∎ Key area 2: Research, Evaluation, and Learning:
∎ Facilitate participatory learning activities and meetings in close coordination with the Director.
∎ Work with consultants to design and implement action research or other contracted evaluation or learning exercises.
∎ Initiate small program research to inform program efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability.
∎ Lead/support formative research of PTL contents with support from NY Education
∎ Key area 3: Documentation and dissemination:
∎ Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as well as other ad hoc internal reporting
∎ Establish a documentation and reporting system including templates of the relevant program interventions.
∎ Keep systematic records of notes from field visits, key findings from monitoring activities, and key decisions concerning research and evaluation activities
∎ Assist senior staff in the dissemination of project progress and evaluation and research undertakings to appropriate audiences
∎ Contribute SW PtL Bangladesh data to relevant sector plans (e.g. ECD Working Group, Education Sector IM, Education Cannot Wait for proposal )
∎ Collect success stories, case studies, and other program and process documents
∎ Create opportunities for partners MEL team members cross learning
∎ Key area 4: General Administration:
∎ Attend training, meetings, and workshops to update knowledge and skills and disseminatenew knowledge/ information/lessons learned.
∎ Represent Sesame Workshop as nominated.
∎ Any other tasks agreed upon with the Supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 7 years of relevant work experience in monitoring and evaluation including 3 years in the humanitarian sector, education, or early childhood development.
∎ Desired work experience includes monitoring and evaluation of programming that uses information or communication technology, institutional learning, staff development and training in monitoring and evaluation, and evidence translation or dissemination
∎ Job-related knowledge:
∎ Previous experience in ECD in a humanitarian context is highly desired and experience working in Cox's Bazaar will be a huge plus. Familiarity and/or knowledge of the humanitarian response mechanism and ECD frameworks for the humanitarian context in Bangladesh would be a plus as well.
∎ Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills to manage project communications and disseminate project information
∎ Excellent skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
∎ Proven expertise in data management including data compilation and analysis both qualitative and quantitative using applications like EXCEL
∎ Excellent interpersonal communication, teamwork, and networking skills
∎ Field implementation experience and experience working in partnership with NGOs are a huge plus
