  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Knowledge Management, Monitoring & Evaluation and Reporting. Working experience in the Protection sector would be added value.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and proven experience of building excellent working relationships, both internally and externally.

  • Have computer skills with all Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Power Point, and Excel).

  • Excellent influencing, negotiating and communication skills (both English and Bangla).

  • Excellent organization, and coordination skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, prioritize and meet deadlines in a complex and challenging environment; must be culturally sensitive.

Purpose:

The position involves leading knowledge management, learning, and accountability in the Brac’s Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme. The role involves contributing to the development and implementation of an accountability and knowledge management system, documenting and sharing best practices and innovations in response to the Rohingya crisis across sectors, and ensuring effective accountability mechanisms by creating knowledge exchange forums and developing innovative methods for sharing information across sectors, data collection, validation, analysis, dissemination, situation reports, and collaboration with the MEAL team for data visualization, research, advocacy, resource mobilization, referral pathways, and IEC materials etc.

Job Description:

Project Planning, Formulation, Learning and Reporting:

  • Provide support to the sector Leads for the formulation of project concept notes and project proposals and support the team lead in finalizing the fundraising process including Joint Response Planning (JRP) process and be a focal of the JRP process.

  • Provide the team lead with accurate and timely reporting of activities according to BRAC, donor and other applicable timeframes and formats as per the organization and sector-approved proposals and plans.

  • Conduct the program review planning, learning and assist the Sector leads to have the information in place for the best decision-making process.

  • Compile and map all the grant information and track department reporting timeline.

  • Conduct the need assessment through leading the team and prepare the assessments report with clear needs identification.

  • Prepare sectoral reports and donor reports

  • Follow monitoring findings tracking sheet and take necessary steps to resolve monitoring feedback in coordination with respective project managers.

  • Facilitate webinars, workshops, events, and publications (blogs, op-eds, reports, fact sheets, stories from the field, etc.) for the practitioners.

Information Management & Documentation:

  • Prepare all the presentations as best as per quality.

  • Visualize the reports and the targets at both Cox’s Bazar/Bashan char and the field and provide feedback on the report qualities before being sent out.

  • Work with the information management to ensure the information are collected, analyzed and disseminated through clear support from you.

  • Follow the project monitoring findings tracking sheet and take necessary steps to resolve monitoring feedback.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting and Medical Incident Reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.

  • Prepare and review fact sheets regular basis.

Knowledge Management:

  • Draft and finalize the dashboard, bulletins and newsletters.

  • Work closely with funding agencies on issues related to knowledge management and take the necessary actions for recommendations or feedback from the agencies.

  • Work with communication to prepare videos a success stories for the Health and Nutrition sector of BRAC and share the reports within BRAC on a timely basis

  • Ensure updated guidelines and SOP in health facilities.

  • Maintain a training tracker for all protection staff.

  • Maintain DATA management

Technical Support & Safeguarding:

  • Train the project staff in all issues related to the program quality and all actuality-related issues and ensure they practice in the project implementation

  • To follow up on quality findings and action plans.

  • Provide training to program staff on accountability and knowledge management practices, as well as their implementation.

  • Coach and mentor employees to ensure that the information management system and appropriate technology for knowledge management are used consistently and accurately.

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
