∎ 10 to 15 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage TTBC and carry out day to day administrative work.
∎ Devise a business development strategy for TTBC with action plans and execute it.
∎ Develop and execute fund raising strategy - liaise with donors, third parties to solicit funding opportunities and develop funding proposals.
∎ Identify a portfolio of services for revenue generation.
∎ Develop and enhance the membership base of the TTBC.
∎ Prepare and manage TTBC budget and report on financial performance to BGMEA.
∎ Develop and Implement the branding and communication strategy for TTBC.
∎ Establish B2B linkages with technology vendors, factories, service providers and financial institutions.
∎ Identify innovations related to technology, management and financing that TTBC can promote.
∎ Assess possible cooperation with partners to work on the innovative approaches/ technologies.
∎ Following up new business opportunities and nurture those opportunities into concrete actions.
∎ Network with knowledge institutes, universities, service providers, suppliers, fairs and other related stakeholders and establishment of partnerships.
∎ Systematically consolidate and analyze lessons learned from TTBC operations.
∎ Organize workshops for local clients (factory middle management and independent engineers and service providers) on topics like engineering of water treatment, process engineering; dyeing, washing and printing technologies, process optimization; water, chemical and energy management.
∎ Organize factory awareness building seminars with and for BGMEA, BEPZA, buyers, banks, and other clients.
∎ Other duties tasks/activities as may be necessary to effectively manage TTBC, as assigned by the TTBC Coordinator.
∎ Work closely with the BGMEA Innovation Centre to identify synergies and devise joint action plan as appropriate and in consultation with BGMEA.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 10-15 years of relevant professional experience, particularly in business development.
∎ Prior experience of working in a development organization will be an added advantage.
∎ Working experience in garment and textile sector is desirable.
∎ A strong contact network in the textile sector is required, particularly with input suppliers of textiles, service. providers and knowledge networks, trade associations, and preferable also with individual factories.
∎ Ability to work with limited supervision and to think strategically and independently.
∎ Prior experience in managing diverse teams.
