Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Develop and lead the formulation of financial strategy, budgets, policies and procedures of the company to support the organizational business strategy.
∎ 2. Assist the management in formulation and implementation of the vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
∎ 3. Ensure that the Company's financial performance is meeting the agreed budget.
∎ 4. Develop long-term financial strategies to maximize shareholder value whilst pursuing prudent policies in consultation with the CFO and the CEO.
∎ 5. Support effective decision making and advise the executive management on matters relating financial investments, risk management, liquidity, strategic planning, balance sheet structure, new products, profit projections as well as effective use of resources.
∎ 6. Inform and update the CEO on periodical key financial results, the performance and efficiency ratios with a commentary on their implications.
∎ 7. Manage limits and exposures with a view to improve the Company's profits, whilst ensuring compliance with the overall approved limits.
∎ 8. Collect/Obtain key information on country's economies and companying scenario and Government policies affecting the Company in any manner.
∎ 9. Maintain relationships with local regulatory authorities to ensure that all regulatory reporting requirements are complied with consistently.
∎ Build and maintain strong and effective rapport with the all other business units and the departments within the group to achieve the Company's goals/ objectives.
∎ Be fully conversant of Country's Tax - VAT Laws and ensure effective deployment of tax - vat management for the Company.
∎ Develop/implement a structure to independently verify and safeguard the integrity of Company's financial reporting in consultation with the CFO and the CEO.
∎ Establish rapport with Banks to facilitate the banking activities including relationship management with Bank to serve credit lines, etc.
∎ Lead the implementation of the finance policies and procedures to ensure that the financial and accounting practices are in compliance with Local Financial Reporting Standards, management requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements in Bangladesh.
∎ Identify the training and developmental priorities in conjunction with the HR and ensure that employees are adequately skilled to meet the future requirements of the Department.
∎ Coach and mentor employees as appropriate to improve performance.
∎ Any other tasks may be assigned time to time by the Management.
