Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and production software.
Develop and implement daily and weekly cutting schedules aligned with the master production plan.
Supervise all pre-cutting processes, including fabric inspection, shrinkage testing, lay planning, and marker approvals.
Monitor and control the flow of cutting activities to ensure timely feeding to sewing lines.
Optimise fabric utilisation through strategic marker planning in coordination with CAD and planning teams.
Review fabric consumption data to ensure adherence to budgeted allowances and minimise wastage.
Ensure systematic fabric laying, cutting, and bundling to avoid shade variation and identification errors.
Enforce strict quality control protocols to ensure precision in cutting as per pattern specifications and size sets.
Investigate and address any discrepancies in cut panels, lay defects, or material faults.
Collaborate with Quality, Pattern, and Sample departments for continuous process improvement.
Lead and manage a team comprising supervisors, cutters, spreaders, helpers, and CAD operators.
Coordinate closely with the merchandising, CAD, fabric store, planning, and sewing departments to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
Participate in pre-production meetings (PPM) to understand technical requirements and delivery expectations.
Maintain accurate records of fabric issuance, cutting output, wastage reports, and manpower efficiency.
Prepare and present daily and weekly MIS reports to management for performance monitoring and planning.
Any other task assigned by the management.
