• Strong understanding of fabric types, characteristics, and consumption calculations.

• In-depth knowledge of garment cutting techniques, equipment, and technology.

• Proficiency in using cutting software and computer-aided cutting (CAD) systems

1. Lead and manage all cutting operations to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate fabric cutting in line with production plans and organizational quality standards.

2. Develop, implement, and continuously improve cutting strategies, SOPs, and best practices to maximize productivity, minimize fabric wastage, and achieve operational excellence.

3. Prepare and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly cutting plans in coordination with Production Planning, Merchandising, and Industrial Engineering (IE) teams to ensure uninterrupted production flow.

4. Optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization to achieve production targets while maintaining cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.

5. Supervise, coach, and develop the cutting team by providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and skill development initiatives to build a high-performing workforce.

6. Ensure the availability, maintenance, and optimal performance of all cutting machines, spreading equipment, and tools through preventive maintenance and timely repairs.

7. Monitor fabric consumption, inventory, and utilization to minimize shortages, excess stock, and fabric losses while ensuring accurate inventory records.

8. Collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure all cut panels meet buyer specifications, quality standards, and approved markers before production.

9. Analyze cutting efficiency, marker performance, fabric utilization, and operational KPIs, implementing corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.

10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by adopting modern cutting technologies, automation, lean manufacturing principles, and process optimization techniques.

11. Ensure strict compliance with workplace safety, health, environmental (HSE), and company policies while promoting a safe and disciplined working environment.

12. Prepare and present regular management reports on cutting performance, efficiency, fabric utilization, wastage, productivity, and departmental KPIs.

13. Coordinate with Merchandising, Warehouse, Production, IE, Maintenance, and Compliance teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely issue resolution.

14. Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies in garment cutting operations to enhance departmental capabilities and competitiveness.

15. Support management in achieving departmental objectives related to productivity, quality, cost optimization, and on-time delivery while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
