Job Context:
∎ The company is one of the largest group of companies in Bangladesh. The company operates in the field of property development & construction sector, having build commercial, residential projects & developing projects for the Bangladesh government. The group also operates one of the largest fleet of vessels within the country & consist of companies that may provide end to end logistical support. The company also manufactures & trades building materials such as stone, cement, steel, & plastic products. The founder and Managing Director of the company is a 3rd Parliamentary Member of the Republic of Bangladesh government.
∎ We are looking for a number-cruncher with attention to detail for the position of manager Cost & Budget. This position is responsible for analyzing budget proposals, determining funding allocations, defending budget recommendations against various stakeholders and forecasting future financial requirements. Responsible for preparing statements and reports, overseeing audit files, attending meetings to provide financial feedback, and training employees in cost management methods, well-versed in statistical modeling and are expert mathematicians, quantitative skill set, need to have petition and persuade management to approve their requests, requiring good communicative and interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Evaluating budget proposals and funding requests.
∎ Collaborating with managers to develop a budget.
∎ Conducting cost-benefit analyses to determine value.
∎ Approving or rejecting funding requests.
∎ Determining whether budget proposals are in compliance with regulations.
∎ Defending budget recommendations against management.
∎ Developing a final budgetary agreement with management.
∎ Monitoring spending to ensure it remains within budget.
∎ Estimating and forecasting future financial need.
∎ Recommend and direct changes in operating procedures to improve efficiencies in payment and procurement processes.
∎ Monitor and document actual and estimate reports.
∎ Examine data to help with reducing cost in all operations.
∎ Analyze the market and identify opportunities for growth and potential risks.
∎ Contribute in developing yearly operation plans, budgets, and estimating new product costs, including economic analysis.
∎ Give suggestions for money-saving strategies.
∎ Coordinate with management to ensure cost forecasting reports are consistently checked and applied.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is required.
∎ Ability to present complex data in order to facilitate analysis and decision-making.
∎ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
∎ Must be team oriented and a problem solver.
∎ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
∎ Will be required to perform off site duties through the use of a company vehicle.
∎ Must have a valid driver's license.
